Help my thunderbolt is dying too quickly!

Something is wrong with my thunderbolt. Before I started working about a month ago, my thunderbolt would last the entire day without a charge, even if I used it often during the day, but now my phone barley makes it to 2 o'clock, even with the phone using the least amount of power possible.

Could someone please help me.

putz, Awesome username. Can you check Settings | Battery to see what is using your battery. If it is Cell Standby you may have poor signal at your new job.

Buy a extended battery, mine will last approx. 3 days with moderate use

This is kinda silly, but people might want to check this. I got a Seido case and clip holster, and noticed that my battery life started to suck. Started paying attention, and noticed that the clip of the holster was activating my screen. Started putting the phone in upside down, and got significant improvement. Maybe just me, but check it out.

;)

Yes, I have pretty bad service at my work. Cell standby came in 3rd place with 13% being "used".

That stinks. You may want to dial down or turn off app syncing while at work, though not related to Cell Standby, it will use more battery trying to update over the weak signal. Is 1st & 2nd Screen and Android OS or did something else sneak into the top 3? Another thought is if there is WiFi available, maybe you can connect to at least ease syncing email, FB, etc.

i have the same issue when i'm at work. i can have 45% remaining when i plug it in at night on the weekends, but at work i'll hit that around 1 or 2. but since i work at a desk, i have a charger readily available

What does "dial down" mean & how do I turn off app syncing? I left my phone upstairs when I went downstairs at work, (cause that's where I get crappy service) & my battery life lasted a little longer.

All I meant was decrease the frequency of sync where you can or turn off sync. It different, though usually similar for different apps. Facebook and be found by hitting the menu button in the app and choosing settings. It is similar to this for most apps. If you want to turn off sync in general, you can go to Settings | Accounts & sync and turn it off there.

Mine has started to do the same thing. I've had the extended battery for quite some time now though. Maybe my Bolt heard I was "looking" for an upgrade at the end of the month.

My battery NEVER lasted past lunch time. But I am a heavy user.

Sometimes it died BEFORE lunch time.

I bought an extended battery at Verizon, for some reason for only $25 for double the capacity and now I can use the piss out of it and never run out before lunch.

If I don't use it hard (almost constant data), it will go all day with moderate use (facebook, etc) and not run down much at all.

Last month I used 7.8 Gigabytes.

Running 4G? It's a battery eater. As far as dialing down data synch settings, it might be useful to explain how that's done. I didn't realize there was more than on/off.

So my extended battery now only lasts from 6am till 1pm. I used to make it from 6am till 6pm on one charge. Thoughts?
