Root [ROM] Minimal ReStock

Hello guys,

This rom is basically Minimal Triumph ROM but with stock froyo look and nothing more than the basic apps installed.

I need testers :D

Credits: (amazing people here)
Mobstergunz for giving me the instructions AND fixing the keyboard(<--the creator of this rom)
Minimal Triumph creators (Mobstergunz and ziggy)
b_randon14 for stock de-odexed rom
jdt265 for the name (LOL)


Installation:
1 Backup
2 Wipe data/factory reset
3 Install ROM
4 Install fOCk Kernel (optional)
5 Reboot
6 Re-calibrate Battery (optional)

Updating from older version:
1 Wipe Cache
2 Install ROM
3 Reboot

- cleaned up updater-script
- fixed and readded stock keyboard
- updated build.prop now using Minimal v1.0.8's prop
- made shutdown silent like startup

When I had the V, I always used that one, I like stock Android 2.2 but the stock doesnt have the tweaks and fixes produced by the community, and I dont like other 2.2 roms that are themed, I like to theme stuff myself but usually keep the stock look anyways. :)

Take Minimal Triumph and replace the framework-res.apk with the stock one, replace the app folder with the one from stock, replace the shutdown folder in hiddendata folder, replace boot animation in media folder with the stock one, replace splash.img with the stock one, replace fonts folder, and replace audio folder in media folder, replace services.jar in framework folder, anything else would be extra

lol currently making a backup, idk why but the USB doesnt connect to my pc when the phone is in recovery like it used to in op V

Edit: Booting right now :D

Edit 2: Booted perfectly, the only problem is the default keyboard FC's but used touchpal to get go keyboard from market

Would you mind if I upload it here for other people?

Does this have the sony bravaria tweaks like the minimal triumph? I wonder how battery life is on this rom...may download soon and give it a try.

Everything in the minimal triumph rom should be in this one, and I checked, it does indeed have bravia engine. as far as battery life goes, i got 16 hours on a single charge but it all depends on the usage.

Just don't forget to install the Minimal Triumph 1.0.5 update :)
 
Cool ROM. I wouldn't call it stock though as that can be confusing to people that want to go back to the actual stock ROM that the phone came with.

Since it's a branch of Minimal, ReMinimal. Or Minimized? For some reason I just thought of Fishnet stockings. Stock... Minimal... Fishnet Triumph! That would be minimal stock(ings), maybe.

Someone stop me, please.
 
I am getting constant force close error messages with the Go Keyboard. The messages are popping up every few seconds. Tried re installing and same thing.

hmm... but did the touchpal keyboard work? I'm trying to get stock keyboard to work right now.

For input method i selected Touchpal keyboard and that seems to have stopped the force messages from popping up. Overall..very nice rom with the fock kernel :)
 
I can not update the gmail or other google apps on this rom. Also when I select Power control to have easy access to wifi it gives me the same problem as the brom rom where you can not enable wifi from power control...you have to instead go to settings . wireless to enable. Other then that this rom has great battery life...i was able to get 13 hours of moderate use on it. Also the brom theme installs on this rom flawlessly so you have the sony bravaria tweaks and the brom feel all rolled up in one.

I am pretty much done testing it and would like to mention that i will be using this rom as my backup for each time i need hdmi working. great work, guys.
