If anyone here has a vitality, would you mind putting up the stock nandroid backup so me and req can figure out wtf is up with crickets network.


a stock rom dump gets you massive cookies though.
 
I was wondering if u could help me fix my mms because i am on cellcom. I have the apn-conf.

I wouldn't call it rigging I was just saying if your having data issues and u tried the 2.3.6 update make sure you flashed back to the stock 2.3.4 modem

Yeah, I've heard of this anomaly. Does it also apply to phones that came with it stock? Because I had 2.3.6 on my phone before I installed CM7 and never really had an outstanding issue with data

If it came stock on ur phone n data is working then it shouldn't be an issue. It only applys if u did the update from the Samsung website because it wasn't compatable with metropcs.

Yeah, kinda figured. Oh well, it works and thats all that matters :)

Hey, req0. Not trying to sound like I am hounding you, but I was curious if you were making any headway on the camera issue. I remember you were saying you had access to a phone with data and got some useful info. Also, if I can be of any assistance, let me know. I don't program or anything but if you need something else, just ask :)

The useful info was relating to data, not the camera. As far as the camera goes, the issue is with Samsung having binary only camera libraries, there is no source code, and it doesn't look like the stock binaries are ever going to be compatible with CM7. I'm not giving up on it, but it doesn't look like we're going to have a real fix any time soon. I've asked hroark13, and he gave me a few directions to go in, but none of them have turned up anything concrete. PlayfulGod is currently looking at the issue, but he hasn't had any real time to play with it yet, so I'm still waiting to hear back from him.

I'm taking a small break from the CM7 source tree for a minute to bring you guys something else you might find useful in the meantime. Stay tuned.

connect your wifi. wait 10 minutes. then go to settings accounts and sync click add account enter your gmail. put your phone down for 10 minutes. so it can settle. then check your notifications for updates.
 
Can I test your over clock kernal.please req.My phone on Cm7 got 1977 on aututu benchmark.it was awesome. An o
 
Patience is a virtue my friend... just hang in there...good things come to those who wait... but money talks and bs walks... I'm sure if you send a hefty donation you could possibly get it..lol

great work req0... no worries.. without your hard work we wouldnt even have this.. and i still have beta2 on my girls phone... im not taking it off until you release something better... its the best running rom shes had on her phone in my opinion....

I agree, you are doing great work. Even with the camera and market issues, this is one of the best roms I have flashed on any phone.

Just out of curiosity, is it possible to recode the stock camera to work on your rom? I'm sure you probably thought of that but I just figured I would ask.

Also, I'm not going to bug you about whatever it is that you have coming, if you wanna keep it a secret thats fine with me

However, if you need a tester with phone service, I got yo back cuz! :D

coincedentally requisite0, i reverted back to monster4 before i flashed your cwm and cm7, and im still havin issues w qpst.. so its def phone related.. but i dunno wth i did..
 
so my phone started acting stupid..force closed every 10 secs when i touched anything so i got mad and threw it.*yeah i know--stupid*my question is...should i get an optimus m or go back with the admire?

My MMS works when I am on it, only problems I had was camera and Market. MMS is NOT broken, just not working for everyone the way it should. This was stated in a previous post...

Also, to get roaming to go away, toggle airplane mode on and then off.
