Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

So, what do you think? Compare this to Dropbox?

At first glance, bout the same. Get 5GB of storage free and 100GB for $4.99/month though...which is better than Dropbox from what I can gather. I haven't used dropbox, but I have Box.net. All seem about the same.

So, I'm reading about the Google Store selling a GNex on AC and saw this comment:

They are treated exactly like an HTC EVO or a EPIC Touch 4G. Updates go through the carrier and have to be tested, approved and released by the carrier. They are branded with the carrier names and even have carrier apps on them. They contain closed source radio files and ROMs cannot be built from AOSP, so not open source. The only difference is instead of Sense or Touchwiz they use Holo. Which is the same as Sprint using Sprint ID instead of Sense basically, it's just a different skin. Updates happen no more quickly on them as was proven by the Nexus S 4G vs some of the newest HTC phones.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I didn't realize that about the Verizon GNex. That's totally blasphemy!!!! This makes the GNex no different than the original Droid!

Yep, pretty much. But the draw to the Nex as was the Droid is the openness and dev support.

Meh, we got two Verizon apps that could be quickly disabled or deleted once rooted. Wish the back plate didn't say Verizon but what are you gonna do?
Was nice to easily scratch off the Verizon logo from my Bionic though.

So...Google Drive is NOT available in Canada :@

For some reason I can't access my Google Drive yet -- says its still not ready.

Hmm...so I guess it's just slowly rolling out.

This is the message I got:
Google Drive is coming.

Want us to tell you when your Google Drive is ready? Let us know and we'll email you at ******@gmail.com once it's ready. (Not ******@gmail.com? Sign out)"

This is simply bad implementation on Google's part.

So, now I'm kicking myself for not buying into the old Google Drive storage :/

Old Storage
20 GB - $5/yr
80 GB - $20/yr

New Storage
25 GB - $2.49/month = $29.88/year
100 GB - $4.99 = $59.88/year

Image on Google drive, can you guys see it?

Woot! Hoping it passes.
Sunday liquor sales in D.C. at last? - District of DeBonis - The Washington Post
Anyone else live in a state with restrictive alcohol sales? I remember when I lived in CA and couple believe my eyes with all the booze they sold at your average supermarket. I grew up in MA which, despite being such a blue state, held such high Blue Laws. I know we have a couple Massholes in here; remember calling them "packies"?

Try living in Utah. Nothing on Sunday, 3.2 beer in grocery stores. Liquor, wine and real beer in state liquor stores only.

Okay finally got into Google Drive.

Need to do some cleaning up since I used Google Docs for collboration on my Senior Design project and towards the end it got a little unorganized.

But so far, pretty sweet!

Late to the party but VW does indeed own Lamborghini as well as Bugatti and Audi. Fun fact, the Gallardo shares the same VW-derived 5.0 liter V-10 with the Audi R-8. Funny to think the same company that produces the ultra efficient Jetta TDi also oversees production of the ~$2M, 1200hp, 265+ MPH, rolling piece of engineering that is the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport.
