Root [ROM](MI-CHEE BETA 2 PUBLIC TEST RELEASE) Full Miui GB rom CM7 based

btw, with TB, i froze and backed up the miui gallery in alpha1, then defrosted and restored in alpha3 after deleting the stock gallery. works great. now i got full camera and miui gallery! still messing with the messaging app

Unfortunately I don't have skd, but I am so happy with what you've done. Now my iPhone friends are jealous. I will deffinitely donate when its final.

So the "Stockmms.APk" that comes included with the METROFF.zip you provided sends only MMS. Because I sent a 3 word text message and it looks like its in picture format. With the <

weird, did you upgrade to alpha 3? sms and mms look normal on the recepients phone that i tested. did you send a different text or just the one?
that mms.apk is the modded stock app thats included in the original zip by playful god. and ithink its the same one Bo included with alpha 3.

*edit..so turns out your mms issue is with cm7 and not miui.
 
Wifi is working perfect for me. Everything is flawless. But I'm still on A2 though...
 
anyone tried this on cricket vitality? Its a rebranded SCH-R720... if no one knows then i'll probably just bite the bullet and see what happens lol... I dont care if i have signal or not cuz i just put it on airplane mode and use wifi for calls anyway, + my real phone... and just to sure... i just have to flash REQUISITE0s CWM then this ROM? I probably wont need the MMS fix but what about 800mhz vs 900mhz kernels? any reason to pick one over the other besides the +100? (i.e. major battery difference?)
 
So I finally got to flashing this and very well built :) Ill just wait till every bug is squashed and reflash. My market never wanted to work so I couldn't set it up like I like it so I just restored my Cm7 backup with mms working;) .

@baby_jesus - And yes I'm using Cm7 with that .zip you provided . The setting are all funky but even though it looks like a pic message on my phone, the person receiving my texts receives a normal text msg.

so i was on cm7 this morning to test stuff, and my wifi wasnt working on that either..its weird because every time i restore my nandroid it works, then when i flash other roms it still hangs on obtaining ip address

*edit...stupid routers for jerks..had to reset mine for miui rom and cm7..weird
 
NOT SO QUICK. Im uploading alpha 4 right now. In till the next cm7 build it is a final build as id like to help out with cm7. With that said Alpha 4 is FASTTTT.

lol dammit, i just made a nandroid of alpha 3 all set up and everything, and i just restored my backup of stock++ lol..you work fast Bo!
 
were you able to look at the xml in miui messaging? i did a ghetto swap of the config files, extracted and swapped the config, then pushed the apk thru adb. it gets to the system partition, i reset the permissions, but cant get it to load. shoud the miui be deodexed? plus i read that it didnt have to be signed since it was a system app. sorry for the questions im learning as im going along. i do have the latest sdk also.
