Root [ROM](MI-CHEE BETA 2 PUBLIC TEST RELEASE) Full Miui GB rom CM7 based

yup, camera, mms, data. all of it working.
steps
1. full data reset/wipe, cache wipe, format sys/data/cache, wipe dalvik cache.
2. flash michee
3. flash reqs 900oc kernel
4. reboot into rom
5. dont sign into google, just restore the Metro pcs send apn xml(file attached)
6. rebooted into recovery
7. mounted system and data, flashed playful gods metro off MMS no roaming indicator fix(file attached)
8. reboot into rom, toggle airplane mode on/off, sync google account, then done.

messaging is old GB stock style, due to the mms fix.
for the metropcs mms send apn, just extract the XML from the folder i uploaded and place it in the APN backup and restore folder on your sd card

speedtest.net still wont let me pick a server in california.
im sure after more testing these steps can be reduced..but i can comfirm mms/data/camera working.
the trick for the mms was to reboot into the rom first, then back into recovery to flash the fix.
camera must have started working with the addition of the stock gallery
im gonna roll one up now.

mms working for me too all i had to do was restore my pan settings so pretty much everything working for me except themes

im able to use the installed camera, take pictures, and saves them to the gallery.

This is a a very nice rom !
 
Do the themes work now? I dont mean lockscreens, just the themes.(do they force close apks after restarting?)

Also do the lockscreen settings on cm7 settings work?

the themes work after i did the permission from the op but as for lock screens that don't work right

bo, disregard the fix that i posted that had the miui mms.apk in it, it will now work with the fix i have in this post http://androidforums.com/4272676-post179.html
you have to boot into the ROM at least ONCE before flashing it..it will install a modded mms,apk and the fix files.

i edited steps so its a little easier to understand..i was in test mode last night thats why i was recalling all the steps i took.

Flash the METROFF and the metropcs mms i dont know, but the .xml is for apn b&r Create a folder on sd called apnbackuprestore and put the xml inside it. About the mms apk i dont know..

for the roaming fix, are you using the one i posted above or the one in OP? im not sure if Bo posted the right files yet. make sure before you flash it that you have system and data mounted.
uploaded the xml by itself and the mms fix as well.

Bump for alpha 3 mms works outta the box

Since alpha 1 wifi has worked fine for me. Anyone else have the same problem

it did for me also, which is weird. the last few runs i did of this i couldnt get it to connect ill see what happens with alpha 3
*edit, i really liked that miui gallery but super glad the camera works. are you going to mod the miui mms.apk the same way this stock version was for beta?
