Root which ROM keeps the desire looking most like it did pre-Root?

I am interested in rooting my desire to free up memory and store more things on the SD card but I like the way the phone works and looks as it is at the moment. Does rooting mean big changes in that respect?

hi
you wont regret it :-)

the changes you will see depend on the rom obviously,
but I don't think they are that extreme. all the roms I've
tried retain the basic functionality of the stock phone.
I would recommend miui xj as a good first rom. as it is
feature rich and looks great :-)

enjoy

cheers

Thanks again Dan, managed to follow the Root guide and all is working well. I checked the eraze size and it was 40000 so installed AR but was wondering if I could install CWM now I am rooted.

Tried to s-off with Alpharev but it didn't recognise the device, so I am guessing I need to use the revolutionary thing.

Hi Guys,
The above mentioned links are not available. Are they maybe available on another site?
I received a prompt to upgrade from "2.10.405.2-inc-radio-v2-signed" which I got from Teppic last year (the last time screwed up my phone).
The update was corrupt or something so I tried to reinstall the "2.10.405.2-inc-radio-v2-signed" that was still on my SD card. I installed it but it wont boot up. It just keeps displaying "HTC - quietly brilliant".
Any advice...other than "Spot screwing with your phone!!!"

What ROMS were you running before you installed this one? Unless it was a stock ROM you probably have to factory reset (always a good first guess if a phone won't boot after a ROM flash)

In teppics thread, search the word mirror. Someone posted mirror links on possibly page 429?

Was that signed an ota? If you were rooted, you should never apply that.

You need to check.you still have custom recovery
