Help Lost tactile feedback

Seanette

As of last night, the tactile feedback when pressing icons, soft buttons, etc., worked. Today, it doesn't. The phone does vibrate on startup, and unlock still gets me the desired feedback, so I don't think it's a hardware issue. I just can't find the correct system setting to put it back. :o

What rom?

Stock. It's rooted, but I've only used that to uninstall some stock bloatware, install the alog clearing script, and do the .one_confirm thing, really. No new app installs in the last few days. I rebooted, then uninstalled Easy Battery Saver (I was going to anyway, it does nothing at all), then rebooted again.

Might be a hardware failure, try pulling your battery waiting 5 minutes, put it back in and then see if it helps/works. If you have an older Nandroid backup you can backup your apps+data with Titanium Backup and then restore to the backup and restore those apps if it works. If you've tried everything then call up VM Customer Support and they'll likely replace it seeing that it wasn't your fault. :)

Oddly, Smart Keyboard and the Unlock both give me that feedback, so I really doubt it's hardware, but I'll try the battery pull (can't hurt).
