4G with this model?

I really want to get this unbranded model (HATE carrier branding): Amazon.com: Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 16GB Unlocked Android Smartphone - Dark Blue: Cell Phones & Accessories

But I've read that 4G speeds will not work with T-Mobile, which I'm currently on (prepaid).
I'm willing to switch to AT&T prepaid if I know I can get 4G speeds on their network. Has anyone bought this model and gotten it to work at its best speed on AT&T? Thanks in advance!!

You should be able to get HSPA+ on both, but won't be able to use AT&T's LTE network. For that, you'll have to buy their model (may be able to find it unsubsidized though).

For T-Mobile too? Because I read in an Amazon user review, and elsewhere that only edge (2g) for T-mobile USA users...

The unlocked version will only get Edge speed on T-Mo, while AT&T's LTE version can be "modified" to get UMTS access on T-Mo.


Word on the street is that T-Mo will be getting their own version.
