i benchmarked both kernels for 2d/3d performance multiple times using aututu benchmark and the 2.6.35.7 kernel scored about 100+ points more every time.
 
still cant get wifi to work and cant insmod with libra.ko or libra_ftm.ko for -perf+, i rebuilt an overclock kernel using the 2.6.35.7 source and only the librasdioif.ko built with the kernel will install. i got no clue whats going on

can you try doing it this way


unplug your battery

hold vol up

plug in battery (while holding vol up)

keep holding vol up until your in cwm

then flash in CWM

im just trying to figure what the heck is happening

I am thinking maybe the system partitions is not get unmounted from its read only state or something


on one hand we have apollo with with wifi issues

and then you are having wifi issues


but I do not think they are related, because when I flash you OC kernel I am having wifi issues too

ApolloStar2109, so far you are the only one who is having wifi issues with the kernel I built


Shinru is having wifi issues too, but it is with the kernels that he built with the source he modified, and we are trying to figure that out


I am not too sure which ROM you are using, but I am going to upload a test ROM for you to install and see if your wifi works with that

This is a basic stock ROM with root, it is what I am using

Like I said, I do not know what ROM you are using, you said something about MU or something, and I do not know what that is



19-0B08C no rec root.zip

You install this in CWM

download it to your SD Card

go into CWM and choose

install zip from sdcard
and them choose the file and it will flash



i would also like to mention, that you really should not be doing any of this stuff (testing kernels and testing ROMS) without a working computer


you are just asking for trouble

since I have gotten my Warp

I have not activated it

and the battery cover has been off the entire time

if you guys only knew how many test ROMS and Kernels I have flashed to this thing already

i dont like waiting for the phone to shutdown

when I am ready to flash a new rom or kernel

I pull the battery

hold vol up

put battery back in

and press power to get into CWM


it saves me some time to do it this way

So I have tested both kernels briefly. Both are a definite improvement when I start playing games on my phone particularly grand theft auto 3. The game seems to run smoother with less was jumping around if there is any at all. My phone seems to like 7 a little bit better. seems like it is a bit more responsive than 11 and the transition from screen to screen seem a tick smoother. Either way no matter which kernel I use everything works wifi,audiojack so no complaints here very good work. No matter which 1 I use it's better than what I had.
 
Yeah ill try it with that stock ROM and im going to download my ROM again and flash it ill figure it out im thinking the kernal just messed with my ROM so im going to delete it nd download the backup from dropbox and ill flash yours too
 
Yeah i have this feeling my ROM and the kernal arnt compatible with each other im going to flash the stock b08c hopefully itll fix

Is your rom in the form of a nandroid? When my wifi stopped working a few days ago I had to reflash to ref lash a nandroid backup like 3 times to fix it

Yeah its nandroid form reflashed it a few time ill give it another go guess third times the charm
Edit: gunna flash to another ROM then back to RapTurE see if that fixes it
 
I was wondering if there will be a release of your kernels oc, for people that dont wanna run other peoples roms? Just curious

i know some you guys are itching to test the OC

so I hope this does not piss of Shinru that I am putting it out

This kernel is the 2.6.35.7 with Shinru's 1.6 OC files

I think he has made 1.8 OC files, but has not sent them to me

He is also doing some other tweaks, to free up memory and stuff

do you guys think i should make a 2.6.35.11 with the same OC files

it seems so far everyone is liking the .7 better
