Root [ROM][PORT][ALPHA] MIUIv4 ICS Port | Weekly Update: 2.6.1 | Version: 0.9.0

Did a full wipe and same as other, stuck in miui boot logo. It's my first try on miui from CM7 :( Hope it get fix soon as well as the camera.

Somethings wrong with this version of the ROM, theyre working on it. try gingerbread MIUI for now :D

I tried swapping out some files with 2.4.20 and figured out it has something to do with the services.jar.i switched it out with the 2.4.20 service jar and it booted but phone kept force closing and I had no service just thought this might help

Guess I would wait for the fix. Wanna to try ICS instead. Totally new here, is it a big switching from between CM to miui? If the battery life and performance are better than I'll probably stick with miui.

MIUI is built off of CM. so it has many of the same features. but i think MIUI has more features. I went from CM7 to MIUI and fell in love woth it, so now im waiting for MIUI ICS :D CM9 is nice too. but i think i might like ICS MIUI better, so im waiting for this to be fixed. no offense to anyone.

I got the boot loop like others, but now I'm not able to boot into recovery rendering my phone useless. What can I do to get recovery back up?

EDIT: I popped the battery out for a couple mins, that seemed to do the trick of letting me get back into recovery.

Usually when that happens you have to pull your battery, count to 30 slowly, put your battery back in, and boot into recovery. This give your device enough time to FULLY turn off. :)

Glad to hear you enjoy it =). So I guess you are using the gingerbread miui right now, hows the battery life compare to CM7? (bet it has been ask for lot of times..)

Lol actually im on Cm9 0.6.13.3. i switched to it earlier today. the battery life is pretty much the same. i think its slightly better on MIUI though.

I tried the same rom too. But it never pick up the wifi, which I need it so bad... Now I'm back to CM7.
 
Hey guys Im having trouble connecting to the internet using wifi for this rom. Wifi setting shows that im connected and i have full bars on my notification bar, but can't connect to the internet (google login, Browser, etc..). CM9, CM7, MIUI CM7 don't have this problem.
 
..yep still having problems not being able to use WIFI. i'm connected to WIFI just fine, rebooted many times, still nothing. Going back to Minimal Triumph
 
Hey guys, I've been thinking a lot lately about switching from CM9 to MIUI. Is the performance a lot better now with the update and how are the bugs now? I know of course there are still some. I've been using CM9 since it started so that's nothing new to me.
 
Flash isn't working at all. Just a blank screen. Anyone else having this problem?

Edit: Apparently I'm the only one so if anyone has any feedback that would be great thanks.
 
Just did a clean install and I cant connect to my internet. It gets as far as getting an IP address and then starts over. I know its not my phone because I was on stock earlier and it was fine then.

Did you reboot a second time after the clean install? a second reboot would solve lots of problems, after coming from a clean install.
 
You guys seem to be forgetting a big key fact, this rom is in ALPHA, meaning most things aren't and shouldn't be working. If you're going to compare this to CM9 please don't, many highly experienced people have worked on our CM9 build, so that's why it works so well. This rom is a mainly one man operation, with Austrie, may you know he's a student in school, working as hard as he can, and taking HIS free time to give you something amazing. He barely gets any help, and tries very hard, please take this into consideration, before you bash this rom, or report a bunch of errors that have been solved before.

Yeah guys, this kid's 14, cut him some slack. I was nowhere near his skills when I was that age.
 
Well, if indeed the Flash error has been addressed before, could someone at least direct me to the page it's on? :)

Edit: Nevermind I'll just help myself...
 
This was my first attempt at flashing a ROM on my newly acquired Triumph, really like the look, but having major functionality issues. My WiFi will not work, sitting next to my router it reports low signal and refuses to connect. finds many more wifi connections that any phone I've ever had, but all are too weak to use. Indicates 3G but only show 1x below it, not sure what that means.

At this point I have not tried to reinstall ally my apps, too may issues to keep it. will check back since I really liked the look and feel.
