They changed their website for the One X. Now HTC says that has Super LCD.

Love the HTC website. I swear that they plug in whatever the blogosphere wants to see.

The One X screen reports as a Sony model. As I posted earlier, Sony has sold off the last of their display ops to Japan Displays, Inc. along with Panasonic (a big IPS maker) in an effort by Japan to consolidate in order to complete with the Koreans. (Effective last April.)

So, yeah, it's likely that the One X is an IPS display if they come from Japan Displays, Inc.

Hope this helps!

PS - don't know why anyone cares if it's IPS or not, the idea that IPS = advanced quality came from Apple marketing.

All we care is that they use one good supplier for the display, for all One X variants, in my opinion. ;)

Amen. We go from, "the screen on the One X is amazing" to cliff jumping in one day. :musicus:

Has to do with how it interacts with wifi? It's too early to suss out.

What is the difference between Bluetooth 4.0, 3.0 and 2.0? - Quora

It's high speed, somehow "taken" from the WiFi spec (yeah, lol) and low energy. It can be implemented different ways with different features.

I hope that it means that novox77 can finally connect keyboards and mice and that people can connect game controllers and have the phone talk properly to their car systems, but I think that we're going to have to wait and see.

I know we are awaiting the info and we keep checking our order status to see if the info has changed, but I came across something. It maybe nothing, it maybe something. I did a search for sprint Cita Htc Evo 4g lte. Seems pcag is havin breakfast with Sprint this morning to discuss the network. Hopefully some comes out of it today.

I can't wait until you guys get your phones and put these things through the grinder..lol. Real interested here. Buying a phone is a pretty big decision nowadays for me with 2 year contracts..etc.

I'm officially all-in. Just placed my pre-order now. I just couldn't wait for any launch issues to be ironed out. Plus I need to replace my Evo 4g who is resting somewhere in its watery grave.

Figured they already have the One X up and running so the launch of the LTE should be fairly smooth.

My pre-order message changed:

Status:Thanks for pre-ordering a shiny new HTC EVO 4G LTE, an email will be sent the second it ships. Sprint is working to have shipments begin arriving on May 18th, thank you for your patience. You may continue to track the status of your order on this web page. If you have questions, check out sprint.com/preorder for more info.

Kinda contradicts the first one that said it would ship 1-3 days after the official announcement of the release day...just sayin...

it looks like sprint isnt doing their best to get it to use before the launch date here is what my status now says:

Yeah I just read the new status a couple minutes ago and wasn't impressed...in the past everything went out overnight so they may actually not start shipping until the 17th? :(
While it is only a matter of days and NOT that big of a deal in the big picture, this is one of the little things that can really make an impression on people.

Cmon Sprint...make us at least FEEL special

I'm still betting they will ship out the pre-orders by the 15th, to ensure that a majority of the orders are received by the 18th. My orders always come from Louisville, and they are generally here in a day. I'm hoping to have it by the 16th. Time will tell!

I was just going to see if I had my Evo 3D shipping box anywhere to where it came from :p

Mine too ;(

So does this mean our preorders will start shipping today?

No.

Doubtful. I just checked my account and the message has changed to

I'm sure that's not correct though. Everybody says that preorders usually arrive a day or two before launch date. The original message that we got after ordering said they would begin shipping on the 15th and that would make sense so that would be my guess.

Boy, history sure does repeat itself. Cool off on the panic! Spring will more than likely get your phone to you on May 18th. Same thing happened with the Photon. It was sitting on my porch at lunch the day of release....and almost everyone got theirs that same day as well. Take a deep breath, bottom line is it's out of your control.
