16GB Galaxy Tab 2 7.0?

Color me cornfused. When I go to Samsung's site, it appears as though there is/will be a 16GB Tab 2. However when I try to find one to buy I can only find an 8GB. Is there/will there be a 16GB?

One thing I'm concerned about is wondering how much memory is taken up by ICS and the apps that i will probably put on it. I currently have a Skyrocket running Gingerbread and i have 10.43 GB available. Should I be concerned?

I just got mine today. It is an 8GB version. There is no 16. Unfortunately with ICS and the Tab 2, you can not transfer apps to the SD card. In fact, you only have about 5GB internal for apps.

Nope, plenty of room for apps, I just store my music, movies, etc. on a 32 gb SD card. They are as cheap as $25 bucks on sale.

Thanks. I feel a bit better now. I completely understand that it's just much cheaper to buy an additional SD card than pay to have the additional internal memory. My concern is having enough room left over after ICS for apps.

Be aware if you have 10 GB of apps, they will not all fit on theTab 2. 5 GB for apps is the max.

Yesterday someone was complaining that the apps on the Tab 2 (other than the stock music player and such) cannot access the external sd card. Apparently this is true of any version of Android after 3.0 or 3.1, since Google changed the way the SD card is mounted.

Is this true? Can anyone else confirm that most apps won't see whats on the SD card, only on internal memory?

If so, would this workaround fix it:

[Workaround] External SD in ICS-based ROMs - xda-developers

This is a huge concern of mine, as I plan on using my tablet to play emulators like FPSE and SCUMMVM, which need large amounts of data.

Thanks.

Maybe its me, but if I ever exceed 1 GB of apps, I would be shocked, let alone 5gb. I guess I am not a gamer. If you do casual apps, you will never fill this thing up. Also, music reads SD card fine, all my music and movies are on my SD card, which is seen by the music player.
