Root please help me.....is it a brick??

so i tried to run a ROM and i didnt transfer the file to my phone right. so now it just boots to show LG then that LG w/ flashing colors.....then just black screen (with backlight)......if i hold volume and power i can get to cwm recovery, but i dont know what to pick.......

please help!
 
alright, transfer the rom correctly to your sd card.
boot into cwm, than go to install zip from sd card>choose zip from sd card> than choose the rom and click yes.
when its done flashing just reboot.

but my cpu doesnt recognize my phone. how do i get that file on my phone?
 
you get an sd adapter, or another phone. anyway to transfer the rom to the sd. unless you made a back up, like you should of before attempting flashing anything.
 
Do you have an older phone(anything else that can do this and connect to the computer will be alright) that supports micro sd cards? Cause if you do then you can put it on the Sd card and back to your phone. Did you make a backup before flashing?

yes i made a backup with titanium

but i can use my old phone....good idea!!!!
 
I mean a backup as in a backup made with cwm. It's listed there as "backup and restore" lol. Titanium just backs up your apps. By the way always make a backup before you flash a new rom. I always have a backup on my Sd card just incase. should work. Just copy and paste the room on the Sd card, put the card back in your phone, and wrote and flash the room. Should be good when you flash it. :3
 
i dont think titanium backs up your rom lol.
you would of had to use cwm.
but than yeah use your other phone to get the rom in your sd, than follow what i said in the first post, and you should be up and running..

YOUR GONNA HAVE TO BUY AN SD CARD.:)
unless you meant that your old phone had an sd card. :o

The esteem doesn't come with an sd card. Comes with built in 4gb of memory, but it's always a good idea to buy one it use a previous one from an old phone.

Glad you got it to work. :)
just before you do anything else. go into cwm>backup and restore> and choose either "backup" if your gonna leave that sd in your phone or " backup to internal sdcard" if your not.
better safe than sorry. :D
 
That's the first rule before flashing anything.
Off topic: I was going to celebrate my 400th post but then i went to my profile(tapatalk) and it's 407. Lol reason why i was going to celebrate it is because this is the only forum i have ever had this many post. :D Love The Esteem Community and The People in it. :)
