The One, the Only...

I'm back to Android. Over the last couple of months I went from Android to a Nokia Lumia 800 (which is great apart from notifications are late or n/a without refreshing manually). Then to a BB 9790 which again is a nice phone however, the screen size which i thought I could get use to is killing my eyes. Also the lack of networking apps like WiFi Analyser and OverLook Fing, etc makes me miss the Android system even more.

I still have the BB 9790 but right now, my SIM is back in my trusty Desire. I was having calls drop on the Desire before all this switching around happened. I did a complete wipe and installed the latest Oxygen with (CM7 HBoot) so if the Desire holds true I'll be selling the 9790 and then save a little for a newer Android (if needed ;-) ).

Blast it. Thought we'd got rid of this waster for good ;)

It was temporary insanity, it was the gadget freak in me.

Looking back I could have bought a new Android w/o a contract. If I sell the 9790 I'll lose a few $ at least :( Lesson learned.

Just curious, but what prompted you to swap in the first place?

The Desire was constantly dropping calls either inbound or outgoing. I have always liked the BlackBerry keyboard and excellent notification system through their apps. i thought I'd give them a try. The only issue really is the size of the screen and the lack of network apps (as mentioned before).

Unfortunatley the Desire has not changed, its still dropping calls. :( Even with different ROMs, including the original 2.2 w/Sense. It's definately a hardware issue.

So for now I'm going to have to use the BB 9790 as I'm in a contract. If I find a buyer I'll sell, cover the rest with a CC and buy a phone out-right.
