Question about MetroPCS' future

So I was curious to know what the forecast was for MetroPCS, if such a thing exists. I've read a multitude of things, none of which have reinforced each other. I've read articles stating that they're selling to another carrier, all the way to that they're going to have the largest 4G network come September, but like I said, I can't find any reinforcing articles for any of these statements. Rather than beat a dead horse, I thought I would see if anyone here knew anything for a fact in regards to this? I'd like to know if sticking it out is worth it :)

Well I don't know if they just jumped out at me or what, but it seems plenty of informative posts just appeared in front of my eyes in this forum. Will look into these, but additional input is also appreciated!! Sorry for the post...

5th best US carrier currently. They're doing fine. People complaining about their position are being unreasonable.

Agreed. Metro came from this SMALL ass carrier that was only available to certain markets and even then the service only covered the major city.

Now they claim to cover almost 90%of the US and was the FIRST carrier to have 4Glte. I would say they are doing just fine. ;)

&, the later half of this year they are gonig to unveil VoLTE. Don't know anything about it, but it must be an improvement.

It's not about being unhappy with the service, or any complaints about them. I simply mean that I find a general curiosity in knowing where they're headed, since no two sources seem to state the same information. For example (and not that I've read any such info, I havent...), if MetroPCS were to be picked up by Verizon, I would rather know sooner than later, so that I might be able to get out while the gettin's good  However, my curiosity stems from the fact that presently, Metro doesn't offer 4G in my area; the closest city they offer it is roughly 40-50 miles away, but since I travel through once or twice a month, I still keep the 4G plan because it's just so damn cheap. I was just wondering if there was any information in regards to their future plans, such as expansion and all.

I have no problem with Metro, other than uneducated customer service reps, and essentially being back in the stone age of dropped calls when driving over a speed bump, but for $45.00/mo. who am I to complain? It's literally half of what I was paying for 3G with Verizon.

Other than an article about a German company that owns tmobile being interested in buying Metropcs that's about it.

There's no reason to be concerned with it happening anytime in the near future.

i would be concerned with where metro wants to ultimately be. if metro really wants to go toe to toe with ATT and verizon expect to be paying more than $100 a month for a service that will not be unlimited.

because of this i dont want metro to get too big. im pretty much content with what metro is providing right now. i would like to see at least 10mbps down but as far as the quality of phones, while not being the best, are VERY good for what we're paying. metro has done an excellent job of providing an affordable unlimited service that is pretty good in the areas where its available.
