Well I'm using Virtuous Affinity v2.05 with the RCmix3DV12 kernel. This is not the Virtuous Affinity and RCMIX rom mixed together. It runs smoothly and battery life is really good. There are a few tweaks supplied by the Virtuous Team which are good. Android version is 2.3.5 and sense is 3.5. I've tried the RCMIX rom again smooth and quick but I found the battery life not so good. If you like tweaks there are many included in the rom.

I can also confirm that with the RCMIX3dv12 kernel it supports 2 way call recording 100%, a handy feature that normally doesn't work great on the DHD.
2-Way recording has worked great on the DHD for as long as I can remember. Be sure to skvalex's superb CallRecorder and just use the stock dialer. Do not use any add-on dialer's.

I toyed with the idea, just thought it could be useful... then I found out that it records EVERYTHING... I thought it would let you decide (and record at the press of a button) but it doesn't (or didn't when I looked in to using a Kernel with 2 way recording), so I didn't bother!

Might just be my phone then but it's never worked on mine. I tried a couple of call recording programs but the callers voice was very quiet and sounded tinny!
Only main reason I have it is my boss tends to phone me about work then later on he'll forget what he said and try to place the blame on me if it goes wrong etc thus having this is a useful feature as I can play it back to him and catch him out.
. Ok so it does record everything but you get the option after the phone call to delete or keep it.luvmedroid

Do you reckon the DHD will be fast enough to run ICS smoothly. I have a feeling that the stock release touted for DHD will be a little clunky. It is just a feeling. Once the ROM devs get on it, they will probably squeeze some performance out of it anyway I guess.

I am running ICeColdSandwich and it does it with ease
Doesn't really bother me... have not used a Sense based ROM since I rooted (well... actually I did, but not for long... Always went back to CM7 and am currently waiting for CM9)
They did it with CM7, so I'm sure that CM9 will be great

It doesn't remove bloatware (well, depends on you definition I suppose) but it removes the Rosie Launcher entirely and leaves you with a launcher similar to ADW. It also removes things like the Sense lockscreen and the widgets as well.
Im sure tere was another thing which cleans everything , but still leaes you with th esense rosiie... something like a rom cleaner?
how much would you say gets removed? will i miss any lost items, or is it just all the stuff you dont need?
Also, even if I use ADW on the cleaned sense... What would the difference be between that and something like CM7 which also uses ADW?

I would definitely go for Redemption for an ICS AOSP ROM, has been the best one so far in my opinion.
Can't say much about the Sense 4 ROMs as I haven't tried one in ages, but last time they were pretty slow and buggy (they may have improved since then) and also the camera doesn't work at all
Whats the difference between that and Ascension or IcoldS? Is it just stabilty?
Been on it for a few days now. Really like the new experience. Great that I can use IColdS add ons etc. Definitely miss sense widgets but battery life seems to be better, although my GPS doesn't really work. In built CPU tuner is great too. Haven't tried changing the kernal yet.
Main problems I have are the text becoming garbled occasionally and also random freezes...
All in all however, I would say it's a good rom, but as soon as the update comes out, I'm most likely to jump onto a Sense 4 rom

I get random reboots occasionally which is pretty annoying but bearable at least...
To fix the text glitch just restart the launcher and it'll be back to normal. It seems to be a bug with every AOKP ROM

What's the difference between AOSP and AOKP? Is IColdS (what redemption is based off) the same I assume?
