-[05-18-12] Set screen density back to 240 due to market problems.

Hey People this is my first attempt at a Mod. i've used CM7 and i really wasn't comfortable with all the bugs, like when talking on the phone and the screen would blink and etc. so i went back to stock, liked it but it was kinda battery heavy so i wanted to spruce it up a bit. so i grabbed this Re-stock rom from AndroidForums and got to work.​

Added Apks
-Rom ToolBox
-Es File manager
-Pandora [unlimited skips version]
-Removed Stock launcher and added Launcher Pro
-Google Play

Mods
-Added [MOD][UPDATE][b_randon14's Triumph Tweak Mod v1.2]
-Changed Boot Animation
-Custom Splash.img
-Modded Framework-res.apk
-Using bKernel-v2.0

I couldn't get it past the boot-up image (white Google) I did standard wipes and flashed. Tried twice. Any ideas?

Im using miui reportaled 2.0. I wiped dalvik, catch, and system user data. Then flashed rom. I usually change from cm7 to miui to cm9. (Often) I'm like a rom addict. Lol

thanks man, sorry if your having troubles with the rom, i might take on a CM7 rom soon in the future :driver:
 
tried to give this a run earlier..stuck at boot logo. flashed the stock deodexed rom and flashed this, still no go..i'll try to figure this out later
 
The Tom has a version compatibility issue, Facebook wont show up in the market and es comes up as the cupcake version

its not an issue. its just that the lcd density was modded to 190 so the apps wont recognize ur device correctly. i suggest symbiiote (srry if misspelled) should release a version wif stock lcd density so ppl dont complain n u can recommend changing lcd density :) i do. i do it on aokp to 205! looks great atm.
 
It was already pointed out in this thread what I was just about to say. I have this ROM, and its a nice one. However a lot of things say they aren't compatible with my device. Draw Something, ES Explorer like already mentioned, Facebook which was mentioned. If the changes can be made so all apps are recognized, this very well could be my daily driver!
 
Edit the LCD density to 240 in the build.prop using a text editor within a file explorer that has root (lmao hope that made any sense)...you may have to clear cache and uninstall any updates for the market and reboot. Download all of the apps you want and then repeat above steps but change the density back to 190 and your good to go. Also with a file explorer navigate to data/app and select all apps and copy/paste into sdcard..that way if you reflash the rom or uninstall and decide you want one of those apps again, you don't have to do all those steps again, just install from sdcard
