I got the email about the 23rd from BB as well. I'm going to claim ignorance and go over there tomorrow evening when I get back in town and just "see" what I can see. :)

Once again If I don't walk out of there with one tomorrow or Saturday, I'll be waiting until next Friday!!!

Wait something shiney.......

You just have to format it in the phone. So the 16 gig that's on the phone + 64 + google drive and or drop box =:eating::driver::star::cheers::thrasher::knuddel::ridinghorse: of storage.

My warm fuzzy went into overdrive! So the question, if it's formated on the phone, can it be read if taken out and put into a PC?

I've been following these developments for the last couple days and wanted to throw my 2 cents in on the whloe issue.

As for blame, there is plenty to go around. First off, Apple gets the lions share. I have never been happy with Apple's products or their business practices. The fact that they make only one model of phone disgusts me as a rathy picky consumer. What if I want a bigger screen? Oh, they don't make one. What if I want a hard keyboard? Oh yeah, they don't make one. That's why I'm such an Android fanboy. You can choose the manufacturer and model you personally like. With Apple you take what they give you and like it. If you do like it, good for you!

Sprint and HTC deserve blame as well since they ABSOLUTELY should have smart enough lawyers to anticipate this, and they either do not, or do not care.

I guess my real problem is with customs or whoever gave them the orders or lack thereof. This is a litigated software issue. Why is the hardware being held hostage? It would make sense if there was no way to do anything about it once it left customs, but that is not the case. If it does in fact violate the order, force HTC to issue an OTA to correct it. Problem solved. On the other side, if the phones are not in violation, what is to stop HTC from issuing an OTA to put them back in violation at any time?

In short, holding the hardware has no real world effect on the issue. It is software, it can be changed at any time. I guess it is asking too much for our legal system and government bureaucracies to make a little "sense." (:D, sorry about that, I couldn't resist)

well you have very many valid points and i truthfully couldn't have said it any better you hit it right on the $$$ :-) :-) :-) :-)

That's why I'm such an Android fanboy.

I have a random comment (yep, I'm full of them!), this statement reminded me of it. When I've been reading all the news lately about the issues with customs, etc. - sometimes people start tossing around insults like "you're an apple fanboy" or "you're an android fanboy". I'm a little confused why it's a bad thing to have a preference for one platform or the other? Isn't that what choice is all about?

That couldn't be predicted! As HTC was and is already selling One X in stock with ATT now, you can go to stores now and purchase one! Apple probably realize HTC is doing good, so let's be asses to sway people over!

Funny thing is I was actually contemplating picking up a Mac mini just to check out OSX. My hate for Apple had been waning over the years, and I was literally on the verge of giving them a shot. Not now. My Apple hate is at a new level. I can wait a few more days for me LTEvo, but what really has me bothered is the patent situation. This patent is utter bs and it is a disgrace that they even filed it, let alone got approved for it. For my pre-order to be held up because of complete ridiculousness is what really bugs me. Not that Apple probably cares, but they just lost a computer sale because of this stunt.

As far as apple is concerned.. NO... you have one choice and one choice only IPHONE... sorry apple that im not a follower and dont buy an iphone bc its the cool thing to do...

Does anyone know if the HTC One X actually has the SMS hyperlinking feature that is allegedly violating the patent?

That's the Irony in this, because the U.S. One X and the review LTEvo do not do what apple is implying! And this is a piece from this article below....

"That's confirmed by our own examination of an AT&T One X and Sprint Evo 4G LTE, neither of which exhibit the key behavior excluded from importation into the US by the International Trade Commission, and which both include a new settings screen not present in the international One X," The Verge reported.

I agree with you on the Apple part, my point is simply that if Apple lawyers came up with "being asses," Sprint and/or HTC lawyers should have been able to think of the same thing. Either they are not as smart as the Apple lawyers, or they have been unable/unwilling to coherently and fully explain the situation and the steps they took to avoid it. Of course they can't control what customs or the legal system does, but they have released precious little other than generic, very short responses.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still on Sprint and HTC's side, and there is no way I'm going to cancel my order. I will run my OG until it dies in my hands before I'll go with another phone that is not it's true heir!

From now on Apple gets not one red cent from me, EVER!
Oh, wait, I already have never spent one red cent on an Apple product...
Well now I mean it! A lot! So there, CrApple! :)

True with the short responses! But the Sprint & HTC were blindsided, Att is selling One X now, so from a business standpoint everything is going well on HTC end! So there's no reason for HTC to be suspicious and be ready for combat! Apple did a sneak attack, and you said it yourself you can't control custom's & the courts! HTC lawyers know HTC is in compliance and have to wait for everything to clear! LTEvo and Android all the way!

That's what I was told today that big trucks are Tues and Thurs but that they can get random stuff like the phones any day.

Actually I work at BB mobile and yes we do receive shipments that day new phones come by ups not on our trucks. So we get them on random days

first time posting but not first time reading. ive been watching this thread since the phone pre sold bc just like everyone else, i was freaking out about where my phone was.

little history. originally an at&t customer. when nextel "chirping" was hot i switched to nextel. when that died off i switched to sprint and bought my first htc phone. the Diamond. loved that phone. had it until the day the og evo came out. and im still rockin the og evo.

i love the enthusiasm ive been reading on this site haha. i am a huge apple hater. will argue till blue in the face with my friends about it. own a pc, own a zune, and of course a droid.

i dont know about some of you guys but i have been waiting for this phone for mad long. i was searching for leaked info a year ago about htc's next phone for sprint. if you know what im talking about you will know at one point this phone was called the htc Kingdom. yeah sweet name.

anyways i have been just as on the edge of my seat as the rest of you. but come on now. all this stuff going on is no reason to leave sprint. i LOVE the fact that htc and sprint get together every two years to make a bad mf'in phone. i love that sprint has the cheapest plan. and that htc obviously has some loyalty to sprint to make the baddest phones for them after selling at&t and verizon the crap. cant talk shit. bc i think that yeah even though sprint knew about this, they were really trying to help us out. the original release date was june 10th right? i think they released early bc they WANTED to get us the phone before this apple patten stuff went down. but their gamble lost. and what is everyone doing? killing them about it. not cool.

like i said ive been waiting for this phone since it was leaked as the 'kingdom'. i doubt any of you (esp since most of you have the 3D) have been waiting as long. i am sticking with sprint, and sticking with htc, and waiting for my lol i love the nickname "Ltevo."

btw. im amazed no one said this yet. what I would REALLY love to see. is htc pull this stunt on the iphone 5. could you IMAGINE the fanboys shitting their pants! hahahaha
