Is it just me or is it happening to someone else.... i have a 4G signal but when im tryna surf the web or even to go in fb it wont let me.. i clld like 50 times to metro. Bt they cant do crap about it... i havent passed my 5Gb i have :rolleyes: so i seriously dnt wth is goin on. All i noe its tht its gettin annoying... i has to take my phone to a corporate store. What do u guys think should i unroot my phone b4 goin to metro??
 
thats how mine has been working for month now and now i have no bars for the last 2 weeks lol i hate metro
 
it has been happening to me as well. Can anyone tell me what the difference between a white 4g connection color and a green? I thought that white might indicate 1X, but 4g is listed. When the signal status is green it is noticebly faster. I had no internet with a white colored status, and now that it is green the service is back. Called Metro today as well. They sent something to my phone and told me to power off. Didnt help anything. But at leasy the interet is back, in Vegas.

What he said
When it's green, your connected to Google services. You can see this for your self by going into your running services and stopping Google services. This will turn the data symbol and bars to white
On a side note, this is why ROM toolbox doesn't work correctly when changing these icons, most of them don't have icons for when your not connected, or vice versa lol

well i was with no data for the whole day yesterday. im in las vegas 2. nd wat even got me more mad was that right when i was gna get to the corporate store i started gettin data.. hahaha.. nd corporate store lady told me that . they services with data was down in vegas they didnt noe why but that it was back and running just fine now..
 
Thanks for the info discua. I knew something had to be wrong since there was zero service for most of the day.

I never knew about the green being a reference to Google Services. So I take it that Google Services would make for faster web browsing on my Esteem? Maybe its just me, but I have a very noticeable difference in browsing speed while green. Whenever it is white I can tell the speed isn't going to be there. I have had 4 white bars and the browsing speed is at a crawl, or even get a cannot connect error in the browser. Google Services would only reference location data and Google sync right? Shouldn't have anything to do with speed, but I sure get that impression. While white if it didn't say 4G, I would swear it was 1X.

This.has been happening to me as well..i will have 2 or more bars but i wont get any data but tye arrows turn off and on but won't stay solid...it annoys the hell out of me because then i will have to goto airplane mode to fix it!!
