Just read this today. Wouldn't put much into this but it is news..........


In a twist to the US’ import ban on various HTC Corp (宏達電) smartphones, the company yesterday said some of its products blocked by US customs because of patent-infringement concerns had been allowed to enter the US market after passing the customs’ review.
"Some of our products have passed the review and have been delivered to our telecoms operators’ clients in the US," HTC said in a statement submitted to the Taiwan Stock Exchange yesterday.

ok guys i know this might not be the place for this but this isnt a rant as such,

i just saw the promo vid for i-os 5.....



Oh my god.....EVERYTHING has been stolen from android 4.0?? i mean everything just look at the list i compiled below.

look the "new features" apple HAVE APPARENTLY CREATED!:

Drop-down notification menu that displays missed calls messages and notifications.........since android 1.6 i believe?

you can access notifications and apps from your lockscreen.... wow just wow funny how you add that to i-os RIGHT after it is released in android 4.0.,


all you magazine subscriptions appear in one bookshelf......i had this on 2.3? its not that advanced to have a folder with your e-books in it, also with android you could buy books-in-app a long time ago.

synced memo pad.....Wow a selling point so advanced!.. a synced grocery list......simply wow im it utter awe at the sophistication


it has twitter installed.........once again that is so sophisticated.....doesn't every smartphone out have fbook and twitter?...like years ago why is it so good now? oh wait you can take a pic, and upload it ...with a menu that look pixel for pixel the same as android's

safari was the first full featured web browser available ......no "flash" is NOT full-feature thank you as at the time you released safari 89% of websites had flash base, and now.....it still doesnt have flash wow thats "new"

i-os5 now has tabbed web browsing..... err so did honeycomb?

best camera yet...... seriously? 0.7mp? but wait?! you can access it from the lockscreen.....where have i seen that BEFORE?! and wow the phone has a camera button? oooooooh savvy

split keyboard.....stolen from android and windows 7 phones, was available years ago apple you did NOT create this.

you can share vid's pic's on your tv via wireless.... cough* samsung allshare cough* not to mention clearfi,mediashare,ims all that was working on android years ago!!

you can send txt messages between i-devices. and i can do that also send video,pics,sound recordings,mps,web-links,files and video chat + voice chat all for free to ANY DEVICE *cough*whatsapp*cough* a long time ago

WE ASKED OURSELVES HOW CAN WE MAKE THIS BETTER?...... SO YOU COPIED GOOGLE....WELL DONE APPLE

It would appear that customs has cleared the HTC EVO 4G LTE. According to the TaiPei Times:

“In a twist to the US’ import ban on various HTC Corp (宏達電) smartphones, the company yesterday said some of its products blocked by US customs because of patent-infringement concerns had been allowed to enter the US market after passing the customs’ review.”

I have not seen anything internally yet as far as shipping dates, but I would expect to have that info either later tonight or super early in the morning. I do know there were several plans drafted based on when they would be cleared, so I’ll get that info and match it up and see where we’re at. Hang tight, it’s going to be a fast paced next 24 hours! :) And who knew customs worked on the weekend for commercial stuff!

Thanks to about 200 people that sent me this article! I was out at brunch and having drinks with some friends on a lazy day, and had no expectations of anything breaking today :) At least now I’ve got some snooping to do.

Sorry..didnt mean to post this again....I just read it and shot right over to post it!

Good thing sounds like customs is doing something wich is better than nothing :D

IMHO, I think U.S. Customs are getting the hint. Get these things (LTEVO'S) out before they storm the castle! ROFL :). LTEVO=Hot!, Hot!, Hot!, Potatoes! :eek:
 
We relax topic rules in pre-release threads. Given how this whole screw job began with Apple, I don't think that anyone is going to end up on report for a little Apple hate right now.

I think that if what iOS 5 has going on is new to you, this video should clear it up nicely.

I think iOS 5 is great and I, for one, am glad that iPhone lovers can enjoy its great features.

We know iOS 5 as Android 1.6, but hey, whatever works. :D

In the words of another President, "Trust, but verify." ;)

We all hope and assume that this means the LTEvo - probably it does, but even if it's for a sister phone, I still am very optimistic for tomorrow. :)

There. Equal time for a President of the other party. I hope that it doesn't cause another round of controversy and my inbox full of dating advice (something about me dating myself, I must be popular!). :D

The above comment, just like before, is about the phone. Not about the Presidency, my politics or my mom.
