I know there are alot of listing about when to the phone will come but again i would like to ask and what you guys think i should do. See since i knew that I wanted this phone since it was talked about I told verizon that i would be ending my 2 year plan with them and would be going to sprint even after verizon offered $200 off my next bill I still told them to cut my phone off on May 10, 2012. I knew I could go without my phone for 8 days but now there is no real date for this phone and Im starting to get mad as Sprint is no help and i already sold my phone on ebay. I asked sprint if i could get a free phone till it came out and they said no. I really dont want to get a pre-paid phone and spend more money on a temp phone. Any one know what i should do...?

If I was you I'd wait and see what happens next week, then if there's still no date available I'd probably buy the cheapest prepaid I could find if I really couldn't live without a phone for now. Another possibility might be if you know someone with an old Sprint phone that still works, borrowing and activating that might be an option. I wonder if Sprint could loan you an old phone someone brought in when they upgraded? Or I could send you my old Hero to use temporarily ;)

CHECK YOUR SPRINT BILL!

FYI, I was a D1 preorder, paid for with my Visa debit card, for the LTEvo (cleared my account a day or two later). I just opened my Sprint bill and in there I found NO activation fee included (this time). HOWEVER, I DO have a $213.49 charge for "HTC BAR PHONE."

IOW, they charged me twice for the LTEvo. Once in my checking account, and again on my bill. So... check your bill!

The - sign next to the $213 means it is a deduction. So they charge your card and deduct the same amount from your sprint bill. Meaning you technically haven't paid for it yet once the phone ships or just before the 213 credit will go back on your bill(I guess for some it already dropped off which I don't get why?)

So you really aren't being charged twice.

I would try escalation or retention or go to an actual store and explain to the manager what is going on.

Another option(a bit risky becuase we don't have a release date) is to switch from pre order and get a phone for the the time being, and when the phone releases return the loner for the Evo. There is a $35 restocking fee but that's why I would talk to someone first and get them to agree to wave it.

I don't know how viable these options are for you but it is all I can think of off the top of my head.

I was really thinking about doing that but just add a line as im making a family plan. I was going to get the Motorola Photon for $30 (BestBuy) then the restocking for $35 so only $5 after phones refund, but i would like to know if the phone would come out soon because if not im SOL.

im just going to look into the Motorola Photon because for add a line its only $30 from bestbuy and return it when LTEVO came out so even with the restocking fee it only $5 after the phones refund!

My dilemma is I promised someone my phone tomorrow my EVO 3D they really need a phone ASAP. So I'm selling my phone and all my accessories late tomorrow afternoon. I preordered from Best Buy and they told me they don't charge a restocking fee and you have 30 days. So If I find out the phones gonna be any longer than a week I may have to re buy an EVO 3D then turn around and trade it in when the new one comes out. I don't know yet!

Same here I promised my 3vo to a co-worker.... But when this happened it gave me some time to think about... I might actually hold onto it as a backup... You never know what might happen could become handy.... I actually use the 3d feature alot so I think I would miss it top much if I didn't know it was safe in drawer

Yes I know it was an absolutely idiotic thing to do.. Im thinking about canceling my order, that is, if I still can.. Im hearing about the options everyone else who preordered from other vendors have. Am I completely screwed?

Don't do it! Stay strong! Hang out with a different group of friends! Find a support system! You've already made it so far to turn around now!

You can cancel but once you do don't expect to easily get back on the pre-order wagon. Once your out your out and there could be a wait until they get the second wave of phones out the way, if I was you I'd keep that pre-order and treat it as a Willie Wonka golden ticket.

I ordered through Wirefly ($149.99) and am keeping my pre-order...for the time being, at least.

Where are you thinking of ordering it?

If it is Best Buy or Radio Shack, I would go there and see what you can do to pre order. Best Buy wo t require a deposited. Not sure about Radio Shack.

Then, if you can, and its a better deal than what you go, do it. Then cancel your other pre order.

Up to $200 off is a hell of a deal if eligibile... May be more, may be less.. but money is money. I for one stew if I think I didn't get the best deal, but that's me. Grand scheme of things, $200 isn't that big of deal.

Anyone else wake up and get that strange feeling that we will have our phones this week?
I certainly hope so. I've been trying to google about the situation almost hourly.

After comparing to the Galaxy Nexus, I'm considering jumping ship. The processor is .3Ghz slower but you can ACTUALLY get one. And it does have double the internal memory. I love my OG EVO and would like to stay in the Evo family but this waiting without a definite release date is killing me.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but it's pretty much fact that the inspection did not take place yet so there is 0 chance they are shipping tomorrow.

Also if they do pass on Monday, if even inspected then, don't they have to first ship to a Sprint location then to us? So probably the earliest shipping date, except if Sprint already has some in their warehouse, would be Wed/Thurs.

2 wrongs don't make a right. Hang in there!

I believe they are already in a Sprint warehouse ( actually it's an ups warehouse), and many of them are labeled and ready to go.

Not picking on you in particular here as your post is similar to many others on here...

If you love your current phone, why do you need to rush to get a new one?
I don't understand the urgency to have something new just because and all the griping going on about it.
While I pre-ordered the first day and wish I was sitting here this weekend playing my my LTE, I am content to wait as my EVO 4G just keeps on ticking.

Also, I do not understand all these people who have already sold their current phone based on a pre-order.
If I could not survive without a phone, I am pretty sure I would not sell my current one until I had my new one in hand...just sayin.
