In reply to a comment on his blog at the end of last week, the Sprint Insider mentioned that while he was having a sandwich, people started talking about him/her and none too happy with the leak - and that thanks to the circumstances, s/he was able to not have their reaction noticed. Definitely butt on the line there.
If they start to narrow down the possibilities of suspects then the possibility of a setup will increase. They'll catch the mole if they really wanted to. They can feed each suspect bogus but different info and whatever gets posted on the site then they can match to the culprit.
Of course who's to say Inside Sprint isn't exactly that? Someone hired by Sprint to pretend to give us "leaked" information when it's really a controlled leak?
God I hate how I can match almost any circumstance to my job, I work for a loss prevention group in case you haven't already guessed. I just want my phone.
Agree 100%. The person has maintained that blog for years now. We only know about it now because our phones are the focal point.
With the technology we have, Sprint could very easily find this person if they wanted to.
Nice! I had no idea that there was a games forum here!Actually, that would probably make a great forum game - start it and give it a go -

Thanks! But I don't see much about the rules of what I may or may not post. How much hyperlinking back to my home site mafiamaniac.net am I permitted to do? If I'm introducing the game here, then I will need to link for some necessary things, such as portions of the wiki with in depth explanations of how to play.
Congrats! :congrats::congrats::congrats:PS - I want to thank everyone who helped me get to 20k thanks and set a new forum record.![]()
Whoever said "no news is good news" ...Still no news huh?
There is also the off chance that this is how do we say, unofficially official. As a someone who runs a social media team I've toyed around with these concepts. Nothing people like more then feeling like they have the "inside dirt". If it's controlled correctly it can pretty much do nothing but help you. Has this person ever broke any story that really hurt Sprint?...ok now time to put back on my tin foil hat and wait for my phone.
Can't decide if a meeting that lasts around an hour and a half is a good sign or a bad sign haha
UPDATE: Some of our EVOs have cleared customs, but not entire shipment. Updating blog w/details in the next few minutes.

The idea of customs individually combing through Evos, one by one, is the stuff nightmares are made of.![]()

Eagerly awaiting the blog...I am worried that the person used "EVO's" and that necessarily does not include our 4G LTE.
The next question is, with some Evos being released... is Sprint willing to do a "soft" launch where customers are fulfilled on some first-preordered-first-served basis? (and I don't even know how 3rd party retailers like Best Buy and Radio Shack would be fulfilled) Or, will they wait to allow all inventory to pass customs and then do a full launch where everyone gets their Evo....That makes NO sense to me either, I assume it's per container now and not per phone since that could take months.
I don't see why they just can't inspect one and be done with it.
That's the Apple way - their last stunt was to leave an iPhone in a bar accidentally on purpose, then send in their own goon squad to retrieve it.
Sad. Really, really sad.
The thing with real insiders - they know the same tricks we think might work - so, they're very careful to cover their bases and not get caught with planned info. Then use a proxy server for everything and Bob's your uncle.
I've worked as a conduit for insiders and have worked with other mods doing the same - in each case, we're careful to protect them as a source, and we caution them about the tricks we know, and they're often ahead of us on that, but some find that sort of thing out from us - and are careful with their tracks.
Could Sprint find The Sprint Insider? Don't know. Are they starting to get upset with him/her? Seems like it.
Could it be a plant for managed info? Yep. My instincts say it's not, but I could be wrong, I often am - so, you have to be the judge on what to believe and what to call shenanigans on around here.![]()
