This phone is so huge compared to my Shift - I have average sized (not tiny) hands but this thing feels ginormous in my hand; I also can't get over how thin it is. The Shift is pretty thick and I knew this would be much thinner but it's crazy how thin and light this is. With my Shift - if I forgot to put it in my purse I could tell without even looking it wasn't there because of the weight of the phone 
I activated it last night but had to call Sprint to do it. When I tried to do it myself the phone said my plan wouldn't work with this phone; when I called Sprint the woman who helped me said of course it would work! It took her just minutes and I was all set.
I don't think I planned well enough ahead of time how to move things over so I'm still setting stuff up and haven't yet figured out exactly how to get stuff off the Shift but I'll get there eventually. Cool phone.
Oh - does anyone know if there's some new integrated chat app? I keep getting chat invites from pervy named strangers with gmail addresses; I know I don't have anything out there saying I want pervs to chat with me so I keep declining the invites - but I don't know what app to check settings on. I don't have google+ set up on my phone, just gmail for my contacts and calendar. Anyone know what to look for?
Edit: OK I found it - Google Talk... I don't use it, does anyone know if you can just turn it off or disable it? At least I changed a few settings so hopefully that will help.

This phone is amazing and has met and exceeded all my expectations..I really couldn't be happier..its so nice. I want to take the case and zagg shield off lol bc its so gorgeous.. I was very impressed with the camera...when I picked it up at the shack the people there wpuldnt stop complimenting it... The screen looks fake it looks that good..I used to think crapple has some really nice screens...this phone is right there with it..and the size..its perfect huge screen and super thin..I also couldn't believe how light this thing is! And did I mention FAST!!!! LOVE IT great job HTC and sprint... You really nailed it with this one

Did you have any problem setting it up? I tried to do it from the EVO last night and kept having problems. I finally went on a computer and it worked.
I am not sure exactly what your looking for but on the first screen to the right of the home screen there is a widget with a microphone on it. You can move that to the main page if that is what your looking for.
Don't feel bad, I thought I was the only one. The second I went to use it, I had messages from strangers. There is a way to sign out, I wish I could help but I forgot where it was.
open gtalk and once in hit menu/settings and you should see sign out option somewhere in there.

I'm totally blown away by this phone. Yes there are a few quirks, but going back to anything after using this would be torture.
18 hours in and digging this phone. It really is a looker, metal band around outer edge gives it some really sharp appeal and the back is unique/cool. The kickstand kicks ass...loved it on the OG and glad they brought it back (I have no trouble pulling it out as some others have mentioned).
The screen is eye popping, very crisp. The width is the same as the OG (compared them side by side)...they just increased the height...this gives the wide screen effect and makes websites easier to view. I really like the fact that they went taller and not wider (that Galaxy Note is just too much...compared it side by side with LTEVO at BB and the Note is basically a tiny tablet).
ICS will take a little getting used too. I have it on my Xoom, but it's a different animal on a phone...I'm liking what I've seen so far with ICS and Sense. Some things are a little quirky, but nothing an update won't fix. The "recent apps" button on the phone is kind of a joke and a waste of space in my opinion...I would have much preferred the menu key.
The jury is obviously still out on the battery life. I'm a little concerned about it...I had a full charge when I went to bed last night (actually, well into this morning since I was playing with the phone), but 7 hours later, it was at 95% on standby...cool. But then I surfed the web for about 1/2 hour (3G) and was very surprised to see that it had dropped to 65% in this short amount of time...granted, the screen was on the whole time and there were lots of reloads and refreshes...but what about watching vids, YouTube, etc, etc? Seems like they could drain it quickly at this rate, but who knows...maybe it has a lot more life from 65% down to 10%....only time will tell. Let's just say it made me want to order an external charge pack right away.
Speed? Oh yeah...this is hyper fast! Installs of apps are blink of an eye quick. I did a Quadrant test and it was easily at the top of the list, even 10% or so above the One X.
Radio signal is a bit of a concern. Full bars were the norm on my OG EVO at my house. I'm regulary seeing 2 - 4 bars on the LTEVO and I even see zero bars for bits at a time. I have yet to see full bars on it at my house. However, sites still load quickly and I'm guessing it won't be a big problem. We all love seeing full bars though...
Kudos to HTC for the 25GB of space on Dropbox..I had just maxed out my free 2GB, so the timing of this was perfect.
Again, only time will tell, but for the $50 I paid for this bad boy, it was a no brainer (got $150 in discounts at Best Buy - $50 instant gift card, $50 OGEVO exchange, $50 Sprint phone exchange...would have been free if I'd signed up for Phone Freedom in time).
Crapple has serious reason to be concerned. With this phone, the One Series, and the forthcoming GS3, I would sell Apple stock yesterday (if I owned any).

Well I really love this phone. The one thing I don't like is the otterbox case...it turns what is a sleek great feeling phone in hand to a clumsy monster in your hand. But alas that's the price you pay to protect your phone. I did do a video testing sound and the video, one thing I do not like about the video is the auto focus...it probably comes in handy for some things but I can see it becoming annoying in use. Here is a sample video for anyone wonder how it does on recording sound. I would give it a 5 out of 10. Nothing great but certainly not bad either. Sorry for the craptacular playing...still getting used to my guitar.

Nah, I'm with you. I like it a lot better than the old way. But then, I like the two tone back of the phone and the fingerprints don't bother me. I'm extremely happy with this phone.

When I go under Google Play and my apps I don't see all my apps I previously had. I only see the ones I have now that I've downloaded. Now when I search for an like one of my games that I paid for to be ad free I see both one days free and the other says purchased. I have all my old apps synced with app brain market. Now i see all my apps in the Amazon app store that I got for free. But I had too many apps on my 3D and didn't use so many of them. I am not putting everything back on this phone.
Now to chime in on the phones. Best phone ever I love love love it. Haven't gotten to mess with it alot working all weekend was off yesterday. But I love the screen it's fast. I am not used to 3 buttons neither I am always thinking the menu is there but I have a transformer prime tablet with ICS and it has the 3 dots for menu on it so it's not too bad for me. And on my 3D you pulled down notifcations and had quick settings right there so here you just click settings only grip for me is wifi isn't in the list. I know I can get a toggle switch app but that's just one more thing I'll have to put on my screen. LOL! Beautiful phone though. I knew this was going to be as big as the OG EVO. I've had it and the 3D. My friend hated the speaker on the 3D and the OG EVO all around was much better. My sense started reloading all the time towards the end of my 3D. Plus having 16 gigs. I love Google play too cause I have 13 gis or more of music on my home PC. I was using audio galaxy until I saw google play on my tablet. Ok that's enough for now. I hope everyone enjoys there phone as much as I do.

The screen on this phone is ridiculous people won't stop asking to hold it bc of how light and nice to hold it is..but the.main complement I get is about the screen..this display puts apple's retina display to shame imho..that was the one thing that I gave apple...before this device... But now..the ltevo is king..and don't get me started on the camera...let's put it this way...this phone takes FAR superior pictures than that of my digital camera which is a canon....I am more than impressed...it beat all of my expectations there is just so much good to say about this phone

I didnt like that about the Rezound. Reformatted everything to give back to Verizon. Used my recover formatted files program and found all my stuff on the phone for anyone with a decent app to use to recover. I just noticed the same thing on the EVO. Will have to find a way to format and copy junk files to overwrite.
Side note. I am pretty happy with this phone. The screen looks huge, yet there is no weight to the thing. I can see this being serious eyecandy when I get back to work
Guess what! First time (for me ) Was able to surf the web (LTEVO AF threads and talk on the phone at the same time. I am on hold with Sprint making sure they wave my activation fee and I am posting this now. very cool Web browsing is very quick, no lag, or sluggishness. I can even stream a vid, listen to the vid on my BT headset and hear Sprints elevator music running in the background at the same time. ROFL I am sure others haved already done this but just wanted to share the experience
