House

I am very sad today... There will never be a new episode of House. I have never identified more with a tv character. I have seen every episode (not the final one yet, it's on my DVR to watch today)

All great things have to come to an end I guess, but after only 8 seasons I think it was too soon. Any other house fans want to get a conversation going? (I won't look again until after I watch the finale so don't worry about spoilers on my part)

I loved watching House for a while, to me they jumped the shark when he and Cuddy were doing the musical. I think I actually turned that episode off.

I knew after she left it wouldn't last much longer and I stopped watching it altogether.

He is still alive though, so I am going to hold out hope for a movie. With the popularity of the show I could see it happening. Something on the road trip and a mystery for House and Wilson to solve as unlicensed doctors outside a hospital :D :thumb:

That would ROCK, but I doubt a movie will happen.
I am still in mourning over the show ending

I am too sad that House is gone.

I actually followed the show all 8 seasons. It was a great show. And I honestly learned something about the medical field.

I have to admit, in my option, the last season of House was not really all that good. The script writing did not seems to be as good as the previous 7 seasons. The show seemed to sort of go down hill after Cuddy left the show. I think it would have been great if the show writers had explored House and Cuddy more.

As for the final episode, I did enjoy it. It did seem to have the same good story line as the 7 seasons did. I also liked the surprise ending.

Like the other posters, I too would like to see a TV movie at some point.

Losing Cuddy really affected the show.

I agree, the tension between her and House was great the first few years until they started exploring a relationship.

Ya...I agree, but once the writers got House and Cuddy together, I think they could have explored that story line a little further instead of just blowing-up the story line the way they did.

Also not only did losing Cuddy make the show less interesting, but the story lines seemed to get more formulalaic afterwards.

It was an interesting couple of episodes that ended with house driving a car into Cuddy's house though

Would have been nice to see Cuddy dance in House's dream again though ;)

Ya....I think the way the writers ended the House and Cuddy story was certainly unexpected and interesting, but also kind of crappy.
I, honestly think that they could have run with the story line and really made something of it.

Also, I agree with your other statement! :)

Please excuse the double post, but I wanted to pose an opened question...

If, like me, any of you were not always satisfied with the direction of the show...

The Break-Up of House and Cuddy...

The changing of Dr House's team...

The death of certain charters....

Etc......

How would you have changed the story lines to suit you ?

If I remember correctly, she actually left the show to take another gig. I may be mistaken though.

She left because she wanted to. Felt character had "run its course". Had a guest starring spot in a few episodes of "The Good Wife"....

Ok well my memory was sort of correct. Thanks for the clarification. This dang old age is messing with my memory apparently. LOL

The Break-Up of House and Cuddy... I wish this would have been a situation where they both come to the conclusion a sexual relationship only was the only course of action, they keep getting to "hook up", but also keep getting to be at each other's throats, so to speak, during the day.

The changing of Dr House's team... this one I think they did well, except for Park in this new season, thought she was bad, I don't think they should have took 13 in the direction they did, especially considering they did nothing with it, now had they actually had House kill 13 as she asked, that would've tied that up nicely

The death of certain charters.... Cutner's death made zero sense, but I guess it was a rush thing due to his Obama gig or whatever it was. I do think the death of Amber was perfect, it made for an awesome finale that season, that episode may have been one of the most powerful tv shows i'd ever seen.
