***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

It feels like we're getting very close on news if we are to see ads in the next few days! My personal problem...is that I have now become curious about the HTC Supersonic...live in the Austin area and will have access to WiMax/4G speeds. Not sure how this would compare to the Incredible...but with the SS at CTIA verified...and solid rumors of the Incredible release it looks like it will soon be a buyers market! I'm totally stoked! :D

Guess it would depend on how much you travel out of the 4G coverage, and whether you prefer Sprint over VZW.
 
Alright folks, we got what the majority wanted, but I recognize that there are some folks who won't feel well represented by this decision; don't worry, we value your involvement, opinions, and contribution so we will do our best to accomodate while preserving the spirit of this thread.

To be clear, NOTHING is changing as far as the intent and spirit of this thread is concerned...we will continue to chat, complain (about phone related stuff!), cheer, cry, investigate, theorize, etc...

However, we should all take the responsibility to moderate each other and keep the thread "focused". Let me elaborate a bit more so that nobody misinterprets my intentions...

Lets say two people, through chit chat, figure out they grew up in the same little town or went to the same school....AWESOME! and exactly what this thread is meant to do... however, by the 3rd/4th exchange that conversation is better suited to continue in a PM. (just one silly example, appologies if it happens to be anyone's REAL example...i literally just made it up)

I hope everyone can appreciate the unique efforts taken to get this thread back in action so lets do what we can to ensure the Admin's/Mod's don't regret their decision to operate outside of the box here!

I had talked about that earlier, and have done a little research since. I wonder how much that AT&T being one of the top 2 sponsors complicates that theory?

One last thing is that he was told to expect advertisements in the next few days for the phone.

Take what you want from it but again I trust them 100%.

Can anyone say NCAA Tourney what bigger stage would there be this time of year to start a tv ad. If it does start maybe Sat Sunday or maybe sweet 16 on Thur of next week. None the less exciting. Maybe we see something on monday from CITA.

I had this same question when I heard about the Verizon/Skype deal.

The initial thought of course was...."WOW, it would be INCREDIBLE if they made a last minute change to the INCREDIBLE and made the camera "front-facing" so you could do video conferencing!"

Because I know this would be near impossible without delaying the release of the Incredible several months which none of us want to think about I found this -- iSnapMe.

It's an iPhone accessory for people that like to take pictures of themselves which allows them to do so easily without having to take a stupid @$$ picture of themselves in a mirror.

The best solution would be a front-facing camera, but something like this could be a great work around for video conferencing on the Incredible.

yeah, could be they do a press release tho in like the AM then that night you see a TV ad... The iPad was annouced and that afternoon/night you saw tv commercials. So it could be done like that (minus the big presentation) just an official annoucment.

they didn't advertise the htc touch either, fwiw.
 
All I got to say is that the minute someone comes across an ad for the Incredible they darn well better post it here! Once we have that then it's just a matter of let the countdown begin.

Well the Droid kind of did they just didn't actually say it was the Droid. Anyone who knew about the Droid knew what the commercial was advertising

That would be right in line with March Madness!

But think about this... The final is on April 5th, so how about the advertising all through the tournament announcing an Incredible finishand the relase of the Incredible on the day of the final?

Fromwhat I have seen the Droid does allow full exchange access to OUtlook as do Android devices with Sense UI (please correct me if I am wrong). The N1 does not allow calendar access. This can be bypassed using Touchdown (paid app) or Google Mail and syncing calendars (again correct me if wrong).

Hopefully I am right and if not then I am sorry for opening my big mouth (that and if I am wrong I may need to re-think an Android device because I need Outlook Exchange Access).

I remember BB Storm ads being super vague, never showing the actual phone, but "Something's a brewin'" or something like that.
