Pre order from radioshack update

My hold of $317 from pre-ordering the phone was just removed from hold and is now back in my account o_o

anyone else have this happen to them? I pre-ordered on 5/23
 
Wondering the same thing. Mine was never on a hold though, it just straight up charged my card on the 24th. On order status it just shows my billing info and cost summary, with order details left blank?
 
I still have mine on my card. Same as the day I pre-ordered. Listed as pending.

My order status is unchanged as well. States 1 VMU HTC EVO 4G PPD
$279.99
Item(s) on hold until release date: 05 / 24 / 12
 
They held my money for 3 days then it was back in my account. Hopefully it will show they took it out again tomorrow...

I'll be quite annoyed if Radio Shack has them tomorrow and my pre-order isn't due to come in for a few more days. =/

Buy it on your card instore, wait till yours comes in and then return it. Unethical? Maybe.
 
yip, same here, purchased on 23rd, charge pending for three days then gone, order still visible at rs.com, ship to store, called store they have no clue whats going at my store lol, sales associate says he wasnt aware things could be shipped there, sigh... prob pass by for an update tomorrow, had called the 8 hundred number on the website and they told me they wouldnt charge till shipped, and when i asked if i could change from ship to store to my house they said they could cancel an replace my order but i would lose my place in the pre order line, at which point i just left it alone
 
Just for s and g's i clicked to cancel order to get the details cause it don't list the phone. On the cancel screen it says to click yes to confirm. There is no yes button ton confirm so i guess it was already shipped to the store which is y the option to cancel was not there

Yeah, I ordered mine as soon as a post on these forums said "PRe-order available on Radioshack" So I'm proud to say I'm one of the first in the queue lol.
And yes, They put a hold on my account then released it after 3 days and have not taken the money yet, They take out the money when the order ships.

well anyways, I sent them this email b/c their customer service line is closed for the day:

I pre-ordered the HTC Evo V 4G on 5/23 and just received an email saying it is backordered. order number **********. I literally pre-ordered it the day it became available to pre-order on your site. Why does it take you guys 8 days, not to mention, the day of the supposed release of the phone, to let me know it's been backordered? This backordering email is extremely discouraging and how radioshack handled the situation is very unprofessional. You guys held my $317.99 for 3 days and then decided to return the amount and claim that I will only be charged if the item is shipped, so for 3 days my $317.99 was in limbo that's not considered charged? I expect an explanation for your business tactics through a reply to this email, and I will be calling tomorrow morning to voice my displeasure.
 
Got an e mail stating : your item was shipped estimated date of arrival 5/31..............................................ha ha jk in the same boat as everyone else, back ordered till further notice, ordered 5/23, erybody neesta chill, looks like no one getting it tomorry
 
Update I also just got the email F U radio shack. Also If I pre order on VM site do I have to pay taxes, because the radio shack taxes were $24 :P
 
oh, I just noticed that this phone will be available in radioshack, best buy, target and walmart on 6/10.

where are you seeing pre-ordering from VM

Backorder? You got screwed, All the other orders are still on hold until it is released.. We never had the money taken out, it was placed on hold. They take the cash out as soon as it ships.

What the hell does that mean?

I know everyone got the backordered email but.. awaiting inventory.... how long does that take?
 
Everyone relax I called radioshack's 1-800 number there are no pre-orders back-ordered. They are awaiting their inventory to come into the warehouses today your EVO will ship out later today being the 31st...it will ship no later than June 1st (Friday). I talked to a supervisor demanding an explanation of why it would be back ordered when they know how many they should get when they met their quota. The email is generated automatically when they are awaiting their inventory. Relax...

Your payment will be charged today when it ships out of the warehouse.

Edit: For those of you who decided not to pre-order and wait and get in a store good luck as the only inventory they are getting for EVO's for radioshack are the only ones that were pre-ordered.

Ok. I'll trust you because I have no other choice, but I want you to know I'll irrationally hold you personally responsible if I don't get my phone shipped tomorrow!

Also, I lurk these forums a lot. I work for a major carrier's technical support. Most people working there, -especially- supervisors have no idea what they're doing, they just look things up in their tools and if they're not there they ask three people close to them and make something up. The supervisor who told you this info could have just been making stuff up to get you to calm down and get off the phone.

Edited to remove my work's name. Seemed like a bad idea to badmouth my company :D PS: I love my company :D

I hope so other wise I will walk into a random radio shack in my city and tell em F U. Then sit and eat a pizza on the floor just to mess with them. Edit I was also told they were being shipped out on the 1st.

My status is "Special Order - Awaiting Inventory"
That sounds just as bad as backordered.
