As promised earlier, I have taken a few pictures of my new phone. I'm 99% sure this is likely a Evo 3D with new Virgin firmware. Took me roughly 30 minutes to activate it over the phone with a polite lady. She even called to make sure it was activated. How nice of her...

The following are pictures of MY phone and the packaging

(Sprint branding zoomed in for the heck of it)

Lucky guy please make a review and first impression for us!

I went to radio shack and got mine.. Small town Ohio.. Not on shelves had to ask.. only 1 ghz memory but it is dual core sense is nice and menu has many more options.. Dang thing is blistering fast to the touch over the OV.. I will review it tomorrow still playing.. $299.99 + $35 $357 total with tax.. No 4G here sorry :)

Maybe a video later ;)

It just says "HTC" on the back. It has no Virgin Mobile branding on the phone at all. I actually kind of like it this way... it makes me look like one of those hip contract paying guys. xD

Now I have to get this phone ASAP, I still have to wait for RS to put the money back in my account for abruptly canceling my order.

Well since Sprint stores had to send back their Evo 3Ds back to distribute through VM, I'm thinking those people that got theirs already got phones that never left the country and it's the Sprint Evo 3D phones that they sent back, hence why it still has Sprint on the front.

I wonder what quality of phone we are going to get now.

Those of us who aren't getting the ones with Sprint written on them.

I'll be really pissed if they are of lower quality than the ones they are distributing now.

Ours will probably be brand new. The ones with the Sprint logo are probably from almost a year ago.

Well that's weird then. Mine says Virgin Mobile right on the back of it but it does say Sprint on the front.

Is there any difference between the ones with virgin mobile on the back and the ones that have sprint on the front? Are they both dual core? Thanks

I definitely find it fascinating that a bunch of us have Sprint Evo 3D's just re flashed. When I pointed it out to the rep at RS, he seemed shocked and said that the sprint evo 3D was a good phone and you're right, these 3D's probably never left the country.

I'll be curious to see a comparison of a VM branded Evo V vs our sprint branded ones when someone gets one to see if there's a difference if any at all but I doubt it.

~Cheers

Possible that they'll give us updates to fix any bugs. Wonder how the QC was on these phones since they were rushing to get these out to customers.

QC I'd like to think is pretty good for a couple of reasons (assumptions of course) From what I've heard, HTC is a quality company but the phones we have came from a contract carrier so usually the QC is a bit better than say it would be on the Triumph, *cough*.

The EVO 3D has also been out for a longer time on Sprint so I'd assume that the phones we have are a rev 2 or software updated phone if there were any issues. I'm sure the VM ones are just as good though if not better and hopefully like you said, we'll have continued software updates for any needed fixes.
