Video: A quick rundown of the HTC Evo V 4G

does the EVO V 4G have a fm radio?

After a heavy night of drinking I have my Evo v charged and am ready (Kind of) for questions.. Just the settings menu alone is huge over a OV

Where would one look to see if they had FM?? So far this Evo is acting very civilized..

In the app drawer...

Lol I've been drinking too...but only to ease the pain that I don't have my Evo V yet. This will definitely build my patience.

I heard you have to install a FM app and have head phones pluged in.

Hit power then immediately hit home. It will take a screen shot. If it doesn't work keep trying. Gotta get the timing right

Tried and it does nothing but back you into the last menu.. Screenshot off the OV uploaded NP.. Evo Pics need to be resized before download:(

Hit power and home at the exact same time. No timing involved ;). You just have to hit them at the same time and hold them until it takes the screenshot which should only be like a second.

So far signal seems better although I still get no signal at work so that must be a vm thing. HULU does not seem to work.

On the evo 3d with 3.6 it is power and home

But if people are saying it doesn't work, are you sure that the Evo V is the same? It may be that they are not quite timing it right, and it is power + home. But since this is the VM version (running ICS instead of GB), and not the Sprint one, they could have changed that.

That was taken with my Rom on the 3d. So I'm sure its power+home

Just verified on the Evo V to work with power and volume down.

I am sure there are some minor differences between the phones, this must be one of them.

What software version are you running? They might have changed it from the leak to shipped version of Rom. Or leedroid tweaks in my Rom changed that.

I don't have it, just repeating what swerver32 said:
Evo v here, it's power + vol down, hold for just a moment.

I am sure there are minor differences between the Evo 3d and the Evo V. Maybe some more than minor will also pop up. So I would be careful assuming that that the way it works on the 3d will always apply.

What I'm saying is quick screenshot is pure software. Nothing more. So the hardware is not the diff. Software is. That's why I asked what the shipped version is. See if the latest leak is the same as shipped.

It may have been Power and Home before, but only because Gingerbread doesn't have a built-in screenshot ability so HTC made one and probably mimicked the iPhone.

The phone now has ICS which has a native screenshot ability, which is Power + Volume Down.
