The Ever popular "I've Got Mine!" Thread.

The ONLY complaint I have about Sprint is one major frustration that I have always had--every single time I try to activate a phone to replace my current one (I keep the same number, too), I get an error message online telling me, "We're sorry, but your new phone requires you to change plans. Please contact Customer Care at...". What a crock of BS!

I even tried activating the phone via the phone itself. It took me through the steps; I input my Sprint PIN, user name, etc., then it takes me to a screen telling me that my device is incompatible with my current plan. So, like I have had to do the last 5 years or more, I am forced to call Sprint and have them activate it. Ridiculous.

Best But had to "change" my plan as well ... they had to remove the old $10 premium data charge and give me a new $10 premium data charge.

Which doesn't give me warm and fuzzy about the future... I.e. New LTE phones get a differently coded premium data charge for future rate increases, while original remains same.

I got mine last night, took a hot minute to get it activated, but it's worth every minute I spent!!! I've been pounding the phone for about 4 1/2 hours and the battery is holding up nicely.

I "might" keep it...

I forgot to come here and post on Thursday. It took a while to activate at Best Buy mainly due to the late release and the code for the extra $50 not working correctly. Eventually they got it off. My Best Buy is always awesome for activating phones. The whole thing felt weird though. Because of the messed up release they had little to no advertising for the EVO LTE. They had all the cases and screen protectors locked up. It's like shhhhhh don't tell anybody about the awesome phone. I talked quite a bit with the person activating my phone about all the problems with the launch. It will be interesting when the have the "Official Launch" when they get higher numbers of phones to the stores. I imagine they will be putting people on waiting lists for a little while.

So do to order issues somehow I got sent a second one today by accident...show no charges for it...what should I do

It's totally up to you...but on I recently cancelled a line that had NO contract obligation with Sprint and they charged me 39.99 to CANCEL the line smh...just saying

If they don't notice it, why should you...

Yay! Got my Ltevo this morning when the Sprint store opened. Me and two other people were the only ones there. About had a cow when the salesman stuck his thumbnail in the back speaker slot, trying to pry the cover off and said, "How do you get the battery out."

Me, "Whoa there dude, the battery doesn't come out, and that's the speaker you've got your thumbnail stuck in."

Him, "Really?"... So much for training.

After that things went smooth and I was out the door in under 30 minutes. Didn't get a case but this phone is incredebly thin, coming from the OG Evo. May change my mind on going caseless.

After some heated debate I ended up listening to the little guy on my shoulder saying "Get the LTEvo....NOW!!" rather than the little guy on my other shoulder saying "Just stick with your OGEVO!" :D

Can't wait until it's charged so I can start exploring & setting it up. I didn't have them transfer anything from my OGEVO as I would normally do so I've that to take care of. Overall it should be fun!

I was hoping the phone would fit in my current holster but it just barely misses being able to get the magnetic flap to catch. Now I've got to get serious about finding the best case/holster combo for me.

The HTC Titan II is the closest size-wise phone I've found. The holster should fit. You can go to ATT and compare phones.

Just switched to sprint 2 days ago. They didn't have the LTEvo then. I walked Bestbuy today and they had 2 left. I got the 2nd to last one. I'm still a bit nervous about the non removable battery, but the phone just feels like quality.

I've had mine since May 24 and the battery has been superb. :D

On another note. I was browsing over at GnE and found this for everyone.

The hardware modding has begun. Sorry if someone else already posted this as I did not catch it. I kind of like it. Quite a bit actually. I'm just not brave enough to do it. :)

I saw a member over at the mikmik posted that up yesterday. Really cool looking. :D

There probably is no bigger advocate of the maximum capacity batteries like the Seidio 3500mAh ones for the original EVO than me. I even saw this "puny" 2000mAh, non-removable battery of the EVO LTE as a probable deal-breaker. Well, I am not ashamed to admit I am totally surprised and absolutely pleased. This battery LASTS! Why? Mainly because it's a combination of things--faster processor, newer OS version, etc.

Do not be worried about this battery; trust me.

X2!!!

I was lucky and able to pick up mine at bb yesterday. No preorder. Walked in around 3pm just to check out the display and was surprised they had a few extra available. I jumped the gun and am now a happy camper. LoL

Finally got it last night from Amazon. A little late to the party, but worth the wait! I had to go to a Sprint Store this morning to get it activated, but it only took 5 minutes or so. So far, it is amazing!
