My new job has kept me busy (IT manager for a medium-sized medical office... yep, just me), as has my hobby (working on a new helicopter, as if I needed another flying machine), as has my phone (Galaxy Nexus and the one-way audio issues). The latter has really exhausted me mentally, so much so that after checking/posting/crying in 2-3 threads on the forum, I just didn't have the energy to come over here and check in. I've made peace with my Galaxy Nexus, as Spousal Unit reminded me that I'm eligible for an early upgrade in October. If 4.0.4 really didn't fix the issue for me, then I'll simply deal with it until October. The Nexus will be less than a year old still, so hopefully I'll get a decent amount of money for it to help offset the cost of the new phone. I've really liked the "pure Google experience" and I hate to go back to MotoBloat, but I've got plenty of time to figure out what I'm gonna do.
BB, didn't know you moved to Liquid. How are you liking it? I just jumped from 1.4 and while I loved it, was looking for a change.

Wow, good-looking pictures, and good-looking new room! Thanks for sharing. Finally, the aforementioned Spousal Unit and I turned our screened-in porch into an outdoor living room. We're VERY happy with the results and we did it without spending a ton of money too. Check out the pics below... they were taken with the Nexus on the Night setting. I've always been very pleased with the camera on the Nexus and these pics are no exception. The last pic is one of my cats... he was hanging around the edge of the fence that night and wanted to be in on the fun. Enjoy!

You have made AF history!

VERY NICE, Lucky! We did something similar a couple of years ago, and we absolutely love it. The cat REALLY loves it. We joke that it's HIS room, he just lets us use it.Finally, the aforementioned Spousal Unit and I turned our screened-in porch into an outdoor living room. Ditto that. Plus, I have no issues with Liquid, so I feel no need to switch and have to go through setup all over again. I don't see a huge difference between AOKP and Liquid anyway.I like it a lot. I'm debating on jumping back to AOKP just to see how it's going since I was last on but I really hate doing the full set up.![]()

Not once but TWICE this evening my phone just went DEAD. Stone DEAD. No response at all from the power button. Just a black, dead screen. First time it's happened.
My only solution has been to pull the battery and re-insert it, powering it back on.
I'm running AOKP b38 with the kernel that came with it. Nothing fancy. No power governing within the ROM.
So (a) what's causing this issue and (b) how do I fix it?![]()
Sorry all. Most of my latest posts have been nexus bashing. Guess I'm just venting.
