So yesterday it's paid apps...today its the Nexus One. If you go to google.com/phone you no longer get the "not available in your country" tag. You can buy a GSM model of the phone for use on Rogers!!

Sweet.... it is ture!! I might just order one since I won $500 on a lotto ticket the other day.. LOL

Well rate now 529.00 USD = 536.153 CAD Then $30 for shipping.. I wonder if their is TAX on the cost of that or not? or if its included in the price... or where its shipping from Canada or in the US.

OH WOW!!! I'm sooo excited/exuberant! I recently lost my phone and I've been waiting for the Sony Ericsson X10 to arrive to Rogers (damn wait)...but I think I'm going to go for the N1 now that it's here!! :D

there is gst/pst/hst where applicable according to the website

On my email confirmation receipt it shows TAX = 0

I just hope that CRA doesn't come in and add TAX on top of it. I have a feeling that it will. Let's see. :|

I wonder what the final cost will be when it gets here.. I Wonder if there will be brokerage, plus a possible Duty fee since it's a HTC device made in TW... Please let us know what the final cost is when you get it people.. once I know and its not that bad I might order one.

When the UPS comes with the package and you sign for it, you need to pay for the tax before they hand over the package, lol. That's what I've noticed when I order stuff from south of the border.

Yep, you better have a CC or some cash on hand when UPS delivers. You can bet they will be collecting the GST at a minimum. For those of you with HST, you will be getting dinged for that.

Actually, it's shipped via DHL and you can expect to pay brokerage fees, duties (I'm guessing it's not made in North America) plus GST+PST / HST when it gets to your door.

My Nexus One is now on Canadian soil and DHL confirmed that the customs charge (taxes) comes out to $86.37 CAD

So in total the phone cost me approx. $750CAD

Wow, that's more than $200 on top of the retail price . Think I'll wait a little longer!

I just had a quick look on ebay and saw a BNIB N1 with a Buy It Now price for ~$622.

$650 is what I get

How do you get to that I got this... $529 + $30 Shipping + $90 Tax and Custom charges = $650
not $750 I might be of by a few but only by 5 or 10 dollors.

as of Rate now $529 USD = $534 CND
