CooT62

Lurker
When i updated my commando i of course had to check out the stupid PPT app that they installed and now there is an icon in my notification bar that wont go away because its ongoing. When i go into the setting>applications>all and go to force quit PPT it automatically goes into shutdown mode and i cant stop it and when it restarts that stupid icon is still there.. any suggestions?????

Been a bit of discussion here and elsewhere about the PTT app. Do you have PTT on the account? I do, and I can turn the PTT off and on using both the UI and a nice little widget they included. I appears that if you open the PTT app without having PTT on the account the app seems to hang - it's trying to obtain authorization I suppose. Try adding PTT to your account, it's $5/month with a 100% discount, which makes it free. You probably don't want it and don't care anything about it, but you are probably going to have to do this to be able to control it. I have it on mine (I use it for work) and do not have any issues controlling it. Others have been unable to do anything with it and it actually causes the phone to reboot when they force close it.

YMMV

Ok, so go to your manage apps section. Find push to talk, go down to where you can hit "Clear Data" it'll clear all of the data for that app. give it a few seconds and the icon should disappear.
