Help Data still works on old phone after activating Evo

I activated my Evo yesterday, and everything seems to be working fine. My old phone, an OV, still has 3G data service. Is this normal? Do I now have a free 3G device?

Just data works. I don't see anything on my account homepage indicating I am being charged for it.

it will always work on android devices. Virgin doesn't check esn against data profile information. if you have your data profile correct with the right settings you can get "free data". but remember, they said they can terminate service at any time for any reason. when they see 2 devices accessing data with the same profile, be ready for what comes next. Im not saying you can't get away with it, just be careful. And by definition is fraud.

Thanks.

Not looking to get free data. Just trying to see if that is normal and whether or not I needed to call VM and let someone know, and risk having them break my Evo's data accidentally. I'll just leave data turned off on the old phone then.

I wasnt condeming or condoning. I was just stating my observation.

My OV lost data within a few hours of activating my Evo V.

Weird. I tested this on multiple devices when I noticed it awhile back. Not saying you are wrong at all. I guess it just depends on how long you access it.

I have seen it go both ways. Some people it lasts weeks, others it's almost instant. Must be a glitch that happens on occasion.
