Root notification bar customization

Well, believe it or not, there's no way to get rid of that power bar that's "easy." LG coded it into the framework for the ROM, so getting rid of it isn't as easy as just uninstalling the app, and removing it's cache.
If you do that, then the notification bar will be broken entirely, so you're going to have to keep it there.

*note* I know this because I tried it when I was coding the "stripper."

What about modifying the status bar. Can it modified so the battery icon can be changed to a different one. Say one with a percentage in it or better yet one that has he percentage in it and changes to orange when battery hits a certain point and then red when it hits another as happens with the battery widget app I use?

ROM Toolbox Pro can edit all of those - BUT - and I warn you - Some of them will have display errors (4g is the only one that I noticed that did this when I tried)
It will keep the old icon in memory, and still use it as well as the new one.

NOTE. I tested that functionality on the broken out ROM, so whether it will have that issue on stock is a "wait and see" type of ordeal.
With ROM Toolbox Pro, you can edit anything in the status bar, and the bar itself. As well as the whole phones theme (provided you find another to flash over it.)
Boot screen, etc.

With ROM Toolbox Pro, or any icon changer you may know of, always remember when you are trying to change your battery icon it has to be by 1%. The one we have is that way and so you can't change it out with a battery that is by 10 or 20%. I just flashed over the BrokenOut ROM this afternoon and my status bar is now light blue with my icons all a darker blue. If you download one and try to install it that isn't compatatible, you will get a warning.

You can use uot kitchen to change your battery icon and most other things. Rom toolbox didnt always change the battery.

Right and I do have the kitchen bookmarked. I just thought I paid for ROM Toolbox, I might as well use it and I changed all my icons in my status bar except for the time. I just thought it was worth mentioning about the battery as someone might think one of the 10 or 20% ones looked cool and wanted to try one. I also put on the Dr Who bootanimation from there, but I have to see if I can find another one. This one pauses a lot and it just doesn't seem right.
