Can somebody tell me what the international means? Does it mean it will work with any carrier? Like say, metro pcs, virgin mobile or boost? I really want this phone.

Basically everywhere but the US and Canada (Europe, Asia's etc)

Wrong. The International GS3 has 850/900/1900/2000 HSPA+ bands.
It WILL work on U.S./Canadian GSM carriers such as AT&T,Rogers, T-Mobile, etc.. (No 3G on T-Mobile U.S.A. though.)
It won't work on non GSM carriers like Virgin Mobile, Boost, or Metro PCS. Sorry.
