games you wish were made for android

I got hooked on Peggle for the iPod Touch, and it's really just about the only thing I miss about leaving that platform.

I would like to see someone port a full working version of Starcraft like what I have on my Windows Mobile.. best (hacked) phone game ever..

StarCraft would be SICK on a Droid. Though not as popular, I'd absolutely LOVE to see a port of Master of Orion (MOO 2 would be even better).

Audiosurf!

YouTube - Audiosurf: Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

Play any song that you have loaded onto the phone, touchscreen or tilt to control.

It wouldn't need the flashy visuals and hell i'd pay a lot for this :P

This. Mario from Badlogic Games has actually been poking around with a concept based no Audiosurf. He speaks about it on his blog. From what I can gather, he seems convinced he can do the actual audio and beat recognition part better than Audiosurf, which seems pretty basic.
His development blog is well worth a read - Badlogic Games

oh how could i forget this?!
the incredible machine would be amazing :D

also, while worms is an awsome game (well the first few - before they went 3d), i can't really see it working as well on a phone - the ninjarope operation would be a nightmare

So any updates on The Incredible Machine for Android? I used to have it on my old ass LG phone. But would be awesome on my Droid.

My choice of games (in random order) that I'd love to see on my Android would have to be these...

UFO: Enemy Unknown & X-COM: Terror from the Deep
Bejeweled Twist
Heroes of Might and Magic II
FreeCiv or Civilization I or II
Eye of the Beholder I - III
Frontier or First Encounters
Jagged Alliance Deadly Games
Pinball Fantasies
Might and Magic World of Xeen
Ultima VII & VIII
Mordor (old Win 3.11 game)
Golden Box engine games
Battle Isle
Deluxe Galaga or Warblade
Puzzle Quest
Fallout 2

As you can see many oldies here and I suppose my love for retro games don't justify it, so I'm just gonna say that they're all awesome & entertaining games and apart from Frontier & First Encounters they all would've played great with touch screen controls.

That's sort of all the game I can think of now. ^__^

Ow, somebody mentioned Oregon Trail. So, I just wanna say that there's an Android version already. I haven't played the original but Andro version seems like fun...

So any updates on The Incredible Machine for Android?

apparently you can buy a j2me version of tim and there are free apps for android that should be able to run j2me apps - wouldn't know how well that'd work, but it should work

Totally agree. Worms was awesome, I spent hours on that on my old ps2 b4 i sold it.

Ac-130 SPECTRE and NAZI ZOMBIES, they actually are really really fun on my itouch

Yea, that is probably one of the most missed things from my iphone to droid crossover, I would really want to see Ac-130 and Nazi Zombies make a jump over to android

i would like to see insaniquarium...popcap game i used to play on pc clicking like hell all the time lol

also i would like theme hospital. that is still one of my fav games.

i guess harvest moon would be cool too

i never got really in to theme hospital; sure it was good, but it always felt like a forced sequel that could never live up to the brilliance of theme park

i liked theme park too but the only good version was for sega/snes.
the updated version for pc sucked really bad.

i wish they would have done another upgrade to theme hospital. it could have been a lot better.

It's an ancient game from the early days of Windows (ported from an even more ancient DOS version), but I've wasted more hours on Empire Deluxe for Windows than on any other activity. Now that I have Windows 7 on my computer I can't play it any more! Someone please help me by putting it on my Droid!

The problem with android is that the current phones do not have the capability to run games with heavy graphics. I think many new game ideas will become realizable in the future when the phones get better processors

Yeah Worms is a good choice. How about some ports over from XBOX Live Arcade? Trials HD is an awesome side scrolling motorcyle/trick game.

Spacephysics is keepin me busy right now though

Ditto on Trials HD... that would be awesome. I also want to have Touch Grind on android, played it for like 30 minutes on a display iPhone. It is addicting.

No game in itself, but having an AGS-engine ( AGS - Adventure Game Studio ) would be most cool! There is already a Linux-port for AGS, I think it works by making existing Windows-GS-games rtunnable on Linux. Having a similar tool for Android would be really cool. Of course, games would have to be designed verygood for playing on such a small screen res. like QVGA instead of 1280*xxx (most games are actually made for 640*480 or 320*200 or somesuch, but the engine runs them full screen on 1280*xxx-resolutions if desired). You wouldn't want pixelhunting when scaled down to handset-screensizes.

C64 games appeal to me.

Anyone remember 'The Sentinel'? That would be great on my HTC Hero.

A previous post mentioned Thrust - good one too.

Some turn based strategy games would be nice as well.
