Root New Baseband Version For MTK6573/MMX A75

you must have install Clockworkmod recovery v5

and follow these steps -
1. Download the zip from above link
2. Dump it to SD card
3. Reboot to recovery
4. Install zip from SD card
5. Fix permissions
6. Reboot

My friends handheld bricked after flashing this baseband.
Is this baseband correct for mmx a75? extracted this baseband show this is mt6620. Not mt6573

I flesh with CMW mode in my with rooted A75 rom, work fine and change the baseband version with date.

If u have root explorer go system/etc/firmware

show same files

What is your baseband version now can you post the details of your phone from About Phone section.

The updates what i have got after getting the phone updated from service center this changes in about phone

Well i have rooted my phone with the root method described by mastermind1024. (see link below)

Thereafter i have installed the CWM recovery (only recovery and not the ROM) provided by varun.chitre15. (see link below)

Since i have been using the stock rooted micromax ROM quite a while therefore i thought of updating my phone to this new baseband version. (thinking it to be a stability and system update)
I have successfully updated this new baseband version on my phone. However i have not been able to find as to what is the benefit of updating this new baseband version. I have not been able to find any distinguishable change in the performance of my phone.
Every application is working fine as was working previously and do not observe any changes in phone except the change in the baseband version under the settings of phone.
It seems to me that new baseband is just like the drivers of windows which helps in better communication of android OS and the phone hardware.:)
 
Baseband wont improve phone performance
It is responsible for cellular network, data connection etc
Check whether signal strength, call clarity is improved :)

Buddy it seems that the updated baseband version has improved the signal strength and voice clarity. But i cannot confirm this as i don't have the testbed to check the same. Testing the signal quality and voice quality is very difficult and i suppose there is no straight jacket method for that.
May be in future at some time i may visit a place where there is weak network signal and only then i would be able to check the voice quality and signal catching capability of my phone.:)
 
I flashed this baseband on Blue Terror V1.6 and everything just getting force closed so now restored by now the phone is on but no status bar phone contacts or msg app present so please let me know what i need to do i tried to get the system ui downloaded but its not there the link says the file is deleted or moved.

Buddy i flashed it and now i m into a problem as if the status bar is not there and the phone contact msg apps are missing so i did a restore but it dint worked so i flashed the MMX NEW VER and then again i flashed recovery n boot and now i did the restore n now my phone is fine but these are not working on BLUE TERROR so check and tell us if something can be done.

And one more thing if u have modified files then please provide a mediafire link as if the link what u provided is just downloading others files but not allowing to download the baseband file
