Okay, okay, I love the idea of Android, love the Droid I played with at Verizon, and I love all the cool stuff it looks like the Incredible will be able to do. I love this thread. Love all the guys and the few gals who are on it.

BUT.

The main thing I rely on my smart phone for is HELPING ME ORGANIZE MY CALENDAR. I use Pocket Informant for BlackBerry, and as much as I hate this d--n 9530 (Storm I) the PI calendar ROCKS. I can create categories with icons, assign the categories to my events, and then have the icons appear in the Month view. So, at a glance, I can see what I'm doing over the course of an entire month. Too many days in a row on call? Big meetings happening on the same day for my 2 other jobs? I can see it all at a glance.

I want this on the Incredible. And I know that crappy Google calendar won't do this, 'cuz I've tried.

I sneeeeer at calendars (like BlackBerry) that give you a d--n DOT on a day where you have something going on. C'mon, hard-working, hard-scheduling people, who DOESN'T have a stupid dot on every day? Like, you probably could have 10 dots per day if the calendars would let you, right? Or those little colored time bars some apps deign to give you...oooh, thank you, that is sooooo helpful. NOT.

Anybody know a calendar widget that will give me a month view with categories, at least? Anybody got a suggestion?

Thanks!

I absollutely agree - and I miss my Treo with Datebk to this day, even although I love the Eris. The only thing I have found that helps at all is CalWidget, in the Market. It is nowhere near what you (and I) need, but it is much better than the Google calendar and helps a lot until someone does what you suggest!

NKT, why was this pic cropped? (Sorry to be reading more into this pic if that's the case - just curious - seems odd to me.)

BE HOME SOON???? I would rather swype and see GHI MNO ABC PQRS DEF DEF GHI ABC JKL DEF <SPACE> PQRS DEF JKL DEF ABC DEF DEF<SPACE> MNO ABC PQRS ABC GHI 27 TUV GHI!!!

No, it's me opening my eyes after a brief moment of imaging I have a real smart phone and going back to the harsh reality of having to multi-tap text my wife "Be home soon" from my aging razr. Guess the humor was lost there.

Found this. I dont think anyones posted it. I just thought it was cool that were mentioned :)

The HTC Incredible has mode another unsurprising appearance at the AndroidForums and I have to say that these pics are the best we’ve seen. It seems like the Taiwan-based company is following this trend of phones looking good with the back cover off. The first phone capable of that was the HTC HD Mini, recently unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2010. The HTC Incredible looks really good and I really dig the battery door which features a unique design (it might not be unique, but I’ve never seen something like this before).
Everybody appreciates tipsters which come with solid information and according to AndroidForums user NTK provided some details about the HTC Incredible. The smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon processor underclocked at 768MHz, Android 2.1 OS with the new HTC Sense UI, 512MB RAM (only 320MB available, the rest is probably reserved for a 3D accelerator), optical trackpad, and 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash.
On the back cover we have spotted a Verizon logo meaning that the HTC Incredible will be subsidized by the Big Red. We don’t know if it supports 4G technology, but Verizon said yesterday that the first LTE phone is coming next year. The Incredible measures 17.5

Wondering if there is anyone here who will be physically attending CTIA. (Sorry if this was answered already, but didn't see anything after doing a quick search.)

Thanks!

I was always confident that we would at least get the Incredible announcement at CTIA, but all the doubting thomas posts were slowly eroding that confidence. Luckly kcoan3 brought his duct tape and restored my confidence to all its original glory.

Damn pessimists. :p

The glass is half full.

But half full of what is the question? And when are they bringing the rest of my drink?

Just decided I am getting the Incredible, no matter when it comes out. I waited for the Omnia II to find out that was crap, passed on the Imagio, was set to get the Droid when the Passion rumors started up, then the whispers about this little beaut began. And now the Shadow talk is out there? Sorry, but I can't go through this again. Checking this forum avery hour, doing Google searches, looking at Engadget, BoyGenius and PhoneArena. I need my life back, and I can't keep waiting for "the next phone" that's coming out. C'mon Incredible, I need to move on. I don't care if tomorrow they announce the Pinnacle with a 5mhz Snapdragon, 36MP camera, Android 7.6 that gives backrubs and makes margaritas, you're the one I'm going with.
