***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

long time reader first time poster:

I talked to my local Verizon "guy" in AF Utah March 12th. He said:

He has seen testers with the Incredible in the distribution center.
It is Incredible! ! !
They (VerizonWireless Distributions centers) will have it for in house testing for three weeks.
If all goes well the go ahead will be given to production to . . .. well produce.
He did not say where in the process it was then but worst case scenario 6 weeks right.

Either way I think we're close.

Major thanks to all who've contributed useful information. I hope this post is one of them

Thanks for the info. Would it be safe to assume since we have heard of testers already having this device at least 1 week ago that we are already farther along in the process. Closer and closer.

Hey its coming but we don't know when ..... kind of news.

holy carp, there is no way I could possibly keep up with this thread man!

The guy I know at Verizon is in over the phone tech support. They got it earlier this week to play with, that's when I posted....about 40 pages ago in this thread!

There will be a time frame of some sort. It may just be something like q2 of 2010. But I think we're too close to release for even that.

Good. We'll get official specs, official high res pics, and hopefully official video. Every time I go to use my Razr, I close my eyes for a minute and imagine I'm swyping at the screen of my new Incredible. Ahhhhhhh. Then I open my eyes and proceed to text..."AB DE <space> GH MNO M DE <space> PQRS MNO MNO MN". :o

I'm just going to say I believe we're beyond the Verizon in house testing phase. So its on to production.

Pleasee... i've been waiting for this, thought i'd give the droid a chance as soon as my upgrade was available.. didnt want to root to make it faster so come'on incredible

...not to mention the fact that you've got an awful lot of "Tech" sites that have reported "the Incredible is coming in 2 weeks" as fact. I would bet that at least a handful of those sites - the "engadget" variety - don't want their reputation tarnished by looking like idiots if nothing happens in 2 weeks. The rest of those sites - the "phone arena" and "BGR" variety - simply report what we say in this thread and aren't overly concerned with the fallout!

Yeah, I'm thinking we're within the "if you got a phone you can exchange it for the Incredible in 30 days" time frame.
One thing I wonder though since we've heard basically 2 time frames. 2 weeks and mid april. Could it be Verizon is waiting to see what Sprint does? Maybe originally it was mid April? Then Sprint talks up the Supersonic, Verizon decides to move up to 2 weeks from now. Course the 2 weeks timeframe may mean that you're going to want to get your Incred when you can as it would mean less units available at that launch window.

Is it a play on words by verizon, or just wishful thinking on my part.
