I came across this earlier, does anyone know if this is confirmed?

TechieSpider LG Connect 4G Price and Specs

LG Connect 4G is a new mid range 4G Android smartphone from LG and runs Android Gingerbread. LG Connect 4G has a 4.0 inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 840 pixels,a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 5MP primary camera runs Android Gingerbread(will get ICS upgrade) and supports 4G LTE connectivity.

Seems like ICS has a lot of compatibility issues.

If you're talking about people trying to port it over that is no surprise since the drivers for every handset are closed source. But if you mean ICS as a whole does you are dead wrong.

maybe thats what it is. i keep reading people saying how their apps arent working with ICS.

3 months later..... lol

Believe it or not they are working on it. As to when we'll see it; well that just depends on a shit ton of factors. For all we know they might not be able to get it to function right, we never really know.
All that we know at this point is that it is in fact something that's being worked on.

Things like designing an android O.S. for a phone take time. It's not as simple for LG to get ICS fully compatible, and working bug free as it is for a dev on these forums to piece together other ROM's and kernels, with chunks of thousands of peoples codes because LG has to worry about copyright infringement, and other laws that we could...for lack of a better work...give a shit less about.

We don't 100% KNOW for CERTAIN that it is, but according to the local Supervisor of Fort Worth's LG Warehouse on Independence he's heard from others above him in the corporate level that it is. The reason I trust his opinion is because he had a Connect on his waist so yeah; I'm pretty sure he's keeping up on the news for it.
BTW - His is rooted, and running Broken Out (GJ MtMichaelson.)
Kinda funny to see someone work for a company and go against their product; I love when that happens :P

Cant blame the guy. Metro loads bloatware on their phones and they ruin the experience of Android.

Sorry to burst your bubble but metro HAS NEVER AND WILL NEVER RELEASE AN UPDATE.

They rather make you buy another overpriced phone. Sowhat you do is look for custom roms. None so far because the software is buggy. Eventually they will release the next big version that will solve all those things and well have mods.

LG tends to launch similar hardware phones with different software (that the devs canthen take appart and adapt to our phones)

see metro LG Motion (4.1 on old hardware)
