Root Rom ports

Hi,
I don't quite yet have an Evo V 4g, but I was just wondering.
I've looked around and I see lots of stuff saying that mms won't work on Roms that were flashed from the evo 3d. Is there no fix for that yet? Could you possibly do a go sms fix for it? If I get the Evo V, I'd like to get straight up cm9 on it. Also on other ports, would it be possible to perhaps port some roms from the one x? I was looking at some of those, they're pretty cool.

As for MMS, yes, unless the ROM developer didn't fix it specifically for VM, you can't use MMS. But before you can even think of flashing Evo 3D ROMs, follow this guide:
