IF weather caused this package to be delayed from Saturday to Sunday, then the Fed-Ex here in NW Montana CAN and WILL deliver on a Sunday if need be. It's really not that unusual here. With HTC's $$$ pushing the package there's no doubt in my mind that they'd see that this gets done.

And to that end, I've had FedEX deliver to me on a Sunday when I've had something get delayed enroute on multiple occasions.

Thanks for the info.

As i haven't been in a Verizon Wireless store in years to browse, I guess my next question is about other phones' promo materials... like HTC non-android phones (if there ever were any) for Verizon. Were they printed on Red/Black stock?

Not to nitpick, but if I can keep getting reliable negatives to my questions, it narrows the possibilities closer to our grail-phone.

CRAP! I had totally spaced-out on the red/black Verizon association. :( All that was going through my mind was "The Incredible is black with red accents!" And, of course, it didn't help my thought process as I was freaking out at the time.

I looked it up - the HTC in Bellevue, WA is only about 8-9 hours away from me. It's got to be the closest one. If this is just Eris or Droid (Droid has red and black color schemes, too) last-ditch promo garbage I will be PISSED.

I live in Bellevue, WA, if you guys want I can go digging through their garbage or snooping around the parking lot asking questions to see if I can find out about anything "Incredible"!

Okay, do we know of any non-android HTC phones that are about to release on VZW?

Let's keep in mind that the package had an HTC return address. I can't imagine there are other phones that HTC is sending dummy phones, promotional materials, whatever else for, for Sunday or weekend delivery with all of this secrecy.

There are no other credible HTC/VZW products in the pipe. I'm pretty much convinced that this crowd would have busted them if they were throwing a head fake.

Thanks dude. I've actually been meaning to post that I have been looking for stuff like this coming down our belt each morning, but never thought it was too important since I hadn't seen anything yet. But now, yeah.

Perfect- you are in a GREAT position to see something and give us a heads-up! :D

i hate to play devils advocate... but why wouldn't you have snapped a pic? Honestly, this day and age if you don't have a pic more or less it didnt happen. (i'm not saying it's BS, but why no pic?).

Secondly...who gets a shipment on a Sunday? I want to believe...but having a tough time. You sure it's not promo materials for the Eris deals happening now?

Why in the heck would he take a pic. Lets think about this, he is in Northwest Montana and how many stores are in that area. Not like he is in downtown NY. Also, the guy already went out on a limb calling him from a verizon phone.

Why not go ahead and ask him for his phone records too? Would that make you believe him more.

Of course Verizon is red and black, but I don't think this is any reason to lose hope that this box has something to do with the Incredible. We know the phone has red and black; we know it is being kept locked-up in a vault patrolled by [incredible] sharks with [incredible] lasers; we know that an [incredible] announcement has to come out sometime, and that the evidence is pointing it will come soon.

It isn't a sure thing that the box is about the Incredible, though. So I wouldn't use this as any hard evidence.

Unless HTC plans on throwing the Desire/Legend at us.. no.

So, then, I'm not worried that this is a different phone than the Incredible. Nobody has seen a Desire, Legend or HD2 pass FCC with CDMA bands, so I doubt there would be promotional materials headed to VZW stores, even if these phones will be on VZW at some point down the road.

It's probably also worth noting that other stores could have gotten this Friday or Saturday (or earlier). Ever heard of staggered deliveries, folks? I'm sure HTC didn't ship 10,000 boxes Priority overnight on Saturday. There may be an urgency to make sure every store has the material by this weekend in preparation for an announcement of the phone Monday or Tuesday. As you point out, Montana, if the package was slated for a Saturday delivery via priority service and delayed, it would be delivered Sunday.

Guys relax lol I'm not saying it doesn't happen ever. But for us medium/small towns to run people on Sundays, it has to be really bad on the previous Saturday or extreme weather conditions the day before.

I got no verification for our Verizon stores from Saturday though. It was another courier that went to the store, and to be honest, I'm not a good enough friend to call him and ask (o:

Either way, I was just putting some info out there. Not trying to stir things up or anything, just telling you how stuff works at FedEx Express in the Pittsburgh area.

Right, and again, the word "Verizon" was nowhere on the entire box!

Lets remember one thing - VZW RECEIVED the box - they didnt package it. HTC packaged it using the red/black tape. I really think that this is Incredible related information ...

ummm, he has a cell phone. My first thought in that situation is "grab a pic."
