We don't need to buy anything right now, we have too much credit card debt, and we are saving for a down payment at the same time, any extra I make goes there... I was given the ok if I sell my A500 but I need the USB port too much. I'll live. ;)
 
Switched up my network (in case you have not seen the thread:)) I bought an Apple airport extreme and an express to go with it. Got home, pulled out some old cat 5 wire, since I needed to leave the modem where it was thanks to the stupid phone line and tv cable. I moved the old router to my front room and decided if that was going to work where I had in mind before opening the 300 bucks worth of apple tax (I know what I wrote :evil: ) sitting in a blue best buy bag. Turns out it worked better then expected. So, down to one router, one password and a stronger signal for my computer and with the network extender moved, a solid connection for the nexus. Seriously doubt it will work outside, however. The bad news? Well, the 50' of cat 5 cable I had to use and will likely trip over here and there.

Guess the apple stuff is going back :)

I love how on Hells Kitchen that all these people work in restaurants(most of them) but when then get on the show they can't seem to do anything.

Another thing that grinds my gears is all these people that go to Hells Kitchen to eat thinking they are going to get food in a timely manner.
 
Hello, I know i m asking a stupid question. But Im very new to the smart phones and the first smart phone i bought is Samsung nexus. I dont know how to share the home sreen on facebook. Can someone guide me please how to do that?

Sounds like you want to take a screen shot....press the down volume and the power button at the same time....then you can edit your picture and share to FB etc.

What the hell happened to the site?
Morning everyone! Long day yesterday and I'm still tired cause I stayed up with the lady watching stupid 90s music on YouTube. I'm a sucker for that "nostalgia". :p;)

Lots of visual add ins...animations on lock screen etc. However, biggest changes that I am seeing are:
1. Interactive notifications in the pull down bar!!! (Calendar, SMS, emails..etc with quick response, etc.)
2. Widgets are more powerful. Auto/manual resizing and fitting to home screens etc...basically more live and interactive widgets.
And 3. Voice commands are HUGELY improved..and available offline!!! Vast improvement on accuracy and instant response!!!! Awesome!
Other than that, I will have to let it ride today to see what it does to battery...or at least this version does.

(Side note: I am spoiled by the customizations from AOKP, so some of the tweaked and looks like the circle mod for battery and the regents windows like sense....other than that, I am a HAPPY camper!!)

Buy now, ask forgiveness later, lol. That's what I did. The wife still gave me a hard time, but I'll endure 10-15 minutes of ridicule for a Nexus :D I had just sold my Galaxy Tab 7 plus for the same price as a Nexus 7 on ebay the night before last because I said I never used it and we didn't need another tablet because of her having an iPad. So you can imagine her reaction when I said I bought another tablet a day later. I did have the excuse that I had the money from selling something else, but that didn't stop her from pointing out my logic for selling my G-tab the night before.

WOW, just saw the post where 4.1 was up. Devs can get it out and working in a day. Lets see how long Verizon takes. Clock starts now.
 
Any apps that will map or log my signal like maybe show on Google maps my dead areas. Would be useful too see if I just live and work in a network dead zone.

I am downloading JB right now - pretty stoked to load it on here and give it a shot. Might wait til tomorrow though to see what people are saying about battery life and such on the device.

All of these JB features are extremely exciting - Google is definitely going in the right direction and blowing Apple in way in some aspects. Definitely adding a huge polish to the OS even though they already did that it ICS - everything just looks better. I can't wait to get it in my hands. I think I am most looking forward to Google Now though - looks incredible.

I think I'll wait on loading JB for a little bit. I'm traveling this weekend and that would make it a bit harder to recover if something happened. I tend to only load new stuff when I know I'll be home for a few days.
 
So my 3G connection is a lost cause, 2 hours and it got to 22%, so I cancelled it, stood by the window where I can get 4G, and tried there, it fails every time. If I leave it sit by the window, it fails as soon as it goes to sleep. If I stay on the phone the whole time, it will get to 50-60% but still fails. Its the network, not the phone, my friend with the Thunderbolt has the same problem. AAHhh!
 
I downloaded it, but will usually only flash on the weekends. I may just wait to see if we get the OTA in a few weeks. If they aren't mucking with the radios, there should be no reason for any delay from VZW.

LOL that's funny - what a good laugh for this morning.

I wish that was the case, but I doubt we see it for a few months, but wishful thinking we will see it a week or two after GSM OTA.

That's exactly the same conversation my wife and I had not too long ago - how can these people really cook for other people but fail miserably when they get to Hell's Kitchen? It's possible that their standards aren't as high as Gordon Ramsay's, but who knows? Some of them are personal chefs and if that's there real-life cooking skills and real-life personalities, then I feel sorry for their employers.

Good morning all, had a power outage last night on this side of town and I'm running around like a headless idiot this morning. Offline printers, downed computers, etc. It's gonna be hot as 42 hells this weekend and I am staying inside. Took a break from bikeriding this morning but will mow the lawn tonight, and ride early tomorrow morning. Then take a break for a few days because the latest report is that it won't get below 90 degrees for a few days, even at night. :(
 
So I am doing a full re-write (with new UI) of my Weight Watchers app.

Anyone on the WW program that has any suggestions that they would like to see an in application? Here are my quick thoughts:

Calculator (Points Plus and Classic Points)
Tracker (PRO unlocks timed reset - ex: resets daily at 3AM)
Recent Food / Points List (PRO Unlocks More than 10-15 items)
Activity Points (?? - Not 100% sure on this yet)

And just use a nice UI for this that is simple, straight forward and is definitely ICS/JB compliant.
 
Ugh... Every time I see "JB" I think jail break. Lawsuit incoming! Since JB refers to "jail break" in the apple community and thus, I am sure apple has a patent on that since it has to do with iOS.

Android can't win.
