Help m droid has random apps popping up

i dont know what i did to the phone not sure if i have a virus but every day i have new apps on my home screen. and every day i have a big star on my tool bar with new apps to download. how do i get that to stop? I am about root my phone i am so sick of all the apps that i dont use and now this can you give me a hand?

If I go to the Play Store app and select Settings I have ...
Notifications - checked
Auto-update apps - not checked
Update over WiFi only - not checked
Auto-add shortcuts - not checked

In every app I have installed the option ...
Allow automatic updating - not checked

I do not have the problem you report.

Is your Play Store app configured the same way?

I wake up every day and i have a new app that i have never downloaded. for example this morning i had an app for priceline. i have never been to priceline before in my life why would i download the app. yesterday i had a game dragon slayer or something like that. and every 4-6 hours i have a star on my notification bar with a suggested app to download. how do i stop that from happening?

With a little Googling i found ... it seems to be caused by one or more apps you installed putting notifications ads up on your device. There is an app ... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.denper.addonsdetector ... that is supposed to detect these on any of your installed apps. You stop it by un installing those apps.

Your problem seems to be AirPush.

(I don't have the problem and have not tried the app.)

I guess that was it. It found one app that updated and it had adds on it
