Root Anyone Having Trouble With Wi-Fi Tether Boost Mobile Fix

What I did that corrected my problem is as follows, now Wi-Fi tether for root users is working 100% perfectly on both 3G and 4G connection. I remembered that I do in fact have a PC in the house that uses a wireless USB adapter so I proceeded to take my phone out to the computer and try to tether the computer to my phone.

When I did this Windows reported to me that there was limited or no connectivity. When I saw this message I went to diagnose and repair and discovered that this was a DNS issue, so what I decided to do was go into Barnacle Wi-Fi tether and connect my device that way since I knew that that application worked perfectly.

Once I connected the computer through Barnacle and confirmed that I had Internet I went into my command prompt and looked to see what DNS servers were being used. I wrote down the two DNS servers and proceeded to go into android Wi-Fi tether and change the primary and secondary DNS addresses to those used by Barnacle. Once I did that I disconnected and closed Barnacle Wi-Fi tether completely and open Wi-Fi tether for root users and voil
 
Well its not a wireless tether but pda.net from the playstore works, & not sure why the wifi tether isn't working for you ? Works great for me
 
pdanet uses foxfi for wifi tether and foxfi is not supported on the evo design only over bluetooth dun and i dont wanna have to buy a cydia app to tether

am i missing something? im on a stock rom with root nothing more
 
I am posting this using a tethered connection through my Design. I only had problems with having encryption on. I am using the rooted stock rom posted by Apache.
 
Here is a huge update on my problem and my solution that I discovered just a few minutes ago. I tried using the evil kingdom rom and that did not solve my Wi-Fi tether issue so this is what I did that corrected my problem, now Wi-Fi tether for root users is working 100% perfectly on both 3G and 4G connection. yea the stock dns addresses were 8.8.8.3 and 8.8.8.4 i believe. I just changed them to in my case 66.1.64.132 and 66.1.64.133 respectively along with changing device profile to generic ics and turning on routing fix and mss clamping and bam it worked. I'm not sure if the DNS is specific to certain areas or if it is the same all across the board but either way I can help anyone that is having trouble now that i know what to do

Made an account on this forum specifically to say thanks to you. I was pulling what little hair I have left out trying to get my tether to work on my HTC Evo Design. I had finally got WiFi Tether for Root to work with no errors, but when I connected a device the internet would not work. Did what you said to do and now it works flawlessly. Thank you good sir.
