Root What ROM are you using?

I have switched over to CM7. LOVE it for the most part so far, except for the dialing on the phone- I am used to being able to start dialing and having it search my contacts for matches as I dial. Is there a way to change the 'phone' portion of the CM7 Rom?

I want this as well. I have been using touchpal dialer because i do not like the stock dialer in CM7.

Now that you have moved on to another phone, which ROM will you leave on your Dinc, assuming you have a use in mind for it.

I'm thinking i'll take all of the personal stuff off of it (email, contacts, calender, etc) and mostly use it for music streaming at home, music for workouts, controlling iTunes with an app I bought, not sure what else. Battery life is more of a priority than anything. Any suggestions for me?

Here too very stable decided to try a stock ROM for my first flash but may just stay with this......

I'm looking to flash a stable rom that is close to stock for when I sell my dinc. Would you recommend this rom? If so, where can I find the .zip? The link on xda no longer works.

Stock Gingerbread [2.3.4][Sense1.0] - JoelZ

Been running this since a few days after JoelZ first released it. I've been so happy with it, I've never used another (as a daily driver). But I will be testing some ICS models soon. Any recommendations for a daily driver on my Droid Incredible (1)? Thanks in advance.

Been running Albinoman's JB RC2 ROM for about 6 weeks now. I like it very much. It's not perfect, but having Jelly Bean makes it worth while. No Netflix or video camera are the big issues. I'll be moving to JB RC3 tonight.

Any jelly-bean based ROM fully debugged yet? Got to have the camera.

One other thing .... Cyanogenmod has short blurb in one write up saying their ROM can run stand-alone without google apps. I really want to do this -- anybody else doing it now?

I just rooted today and am using Cyanogenmod 7 but I can't figure out how to get to the market or google play store.

I'm planning to use my incredible to control my media PC and also to stream video. I need a few apps from the store. Anyone know a good ROM that is very barebones and willl allow me to use google play store?

You will also need to download and install the google apps package (gapps). You can find it here:
Goo.im Downloads - Browsing gapps. It's installed in recovery just like a rom.

would someone help me pick a rom
stabilty and functionality are first and foremost cameras and gps must work.
I like the miui roms fro the minimal style not into fancy launchers with crazy live wallpapers and the rest just want smooth and works. hopefully there are enough people left in this forum to get a decent answer.

I am currently running CyanogenMod 7.2, and I truly love it! Sure, my first go at having it had instability issues, but that probably was an issue due to me flashing using ROM Manager. Remind me not to use that again. :D
