Take Screenshots Without App in ICS (no root required)

Just thought i'd add this to the list of tips and trick because screen shots used to be difficult to take without a dedicated app.

Simultaneously hold down the volume down and power buttons.

The default location for saved screen shots should be by default:

/mnt/sdcard/Pictures/Screenshots

and by default it should be saved as a png image.

If this information seems to be too much of a repeat of common knowledge, feel free to delete this thread.

Works fine on my Kyocera Hydro Boost Android. It takes a few tries for some reason but it saves in pictures/screenshots.

Thanks for a great tip!

I just tested it, it works, also when you press power and volume, it will make a sound, so you know it worked, and the screenshot will popup like a lightbox. directly is exactly the same in the 1st post: /mnt/sdcard/Pictures/Screenshots
hope this helps
