Sorry, but I'm becoming more skeptical about said box given that no other stores have reported coming across one. Surely a Verizon store in bum **** Montana couldn't possibly have been the first and only store in the VZW chain to have received said box so far, yet everyone's swallowing the story hook line and sinker. Sorry to be a doubting Thomas, but there are too many loose ends to the story.

Then why is it buy one, get one free? That's usually when it's being replaced by a newer model and they are trying to get rid of the bulk they have before the new model comes in, I would assume. They are just toying with us. :mad:

That's what I am saying. They are advertising the BOGO to move that phone to create space for the................... Incredible!

And get over the box already... it is what it is, and that's all it's going to be until it's opened. Whether you doubt the contents or not is inconsequential. All the posting in the world will never drive MM to the store, walk him in, have him click a picture of a "box", then drive him back home, log on to AF, and in the end post a picture of a "box" for your comfort and amusement.

True - there are a lot of Apple loyalists that believe anything apple puts out is the "best". However, 2 of the most active threads @ mac rumors is 1) can't wait to get rid of AT&T 2) those of you who switched from iPhone to Nexus One.

I have been intrigued with Android for awhile - there just hasn't been a phone available that matched the iphone (IMO). I'm really excited to get the incredible and am going to pay my ETF to drop AT&T.
 
MM, if you want a pic of the box, have your friend take it with his phone and txt it to you! DUH, no driving anywhere.

Apple Loyalist here. I love my Macbook Pro. I love my iPod. However, I do hate my AT&T internet service. I was looking at iPhones when I joined AT&T for internet but then grew so angry at them, I began looking for other alternatives. That's when I learned about the Droid and started stalking forums waiting for that release. Then I learned about the Passion-->Nexus one. However it was on T-Mobile, and I wanted verizon. Now I'm stalking the incredible.

Basically, I would have been an iPhone user for about 6 months now... except AT&T cant get their act together. So, I opened my eyes and discovered how awesome android is compared to the iPhone OS. And now... how awesome the incredible will be compared to the iWhat was that apple phone called again?

Update: We're getting mixed reports on the unlock status of these phones. One store says yes to the unlock, while others are saying they're still AT&T-locked devices being sold off contract. We're digging for more info on this now, so stay tuned.

Update 2: It's looking like those initial reports of unlocked devices are inaccurate. It sounds like these devices are still locked to AT&T -- so you're just looking at an off contract pricing scheme. Which is also totally lame.


Edit: By the way, I am a soon to be former !ph0ne user.
