Root [CDMA] 3vo on boost question about firmware and roms

Hello had a few questions about the evo 3d..

I'm currently running stock rooted (shooter_s_sprint_WWE_2.08.651.2_odex) evo 3d on hboot 1.5 unlocked with 4ext recovery on boostmobile and was wondering if i can update the firmware,radio etc.. without losing my data profile and boost settings etc.

Also was wondering what roms are safe to flash (without messing with my boost settings) and some suggestions on what roms to check out..

I'm coming from an OG evo 4g i could flash anything i wanted without any conflicts to my boost settings but with the evo 3d looks like certain things can mess with the boost settings (requiring reflashing of boost data) from what i see other people saying around the forums and other places.

just wanna make sure what i can and cannot do before i go messing around and have to reboost the phone.

You can only update if you flash it, do not take an OTA

lol, i know that much... but i need to know what is safe to flash and what isn't so i don't lose my boost service. can i flash new radios,firmwares or flash a new rom without worrying about that? also which roms are safe with boost without borking the settings?

I know downgrading the hboot will bork my boost as well as the Juopunutbear S-OFF method

I read somewhere (not sure what forum) but a guy was having his nam and data profile wiped everytime he flashed a rom on the evo 3d.

i have the evo 3d flash to metropcs the only time i lost the flash was when i did the wire trick to get the s-on to off i went back and the guy re-flash it for me
i've change from stock rom to mean rom.v4.5 then to mean ics and have lost nothing but to me mean ron is faster than mean ics

Alrighty one more question..

how would i go about updating my firmware on hboot 1.5 s-on unlocked without screwing anything up boost wise?

just wanna make sure this isn't going to mess with the my boost flashbefore going ahead and upgrading.


*EDIT 1*: I'm going to go ahead an try the method above and report back with the results


Results: Everything is working using the method above with evo 3d flashed to boost

installed MeanROM v4.5 works great thanks!
